s/o of 2012 post below: goals/to-dos for the new year?

I know a lot of people don't do resolutions or what have you, but I still get sucked in every year to at least thinking of goals/things I'd like to do/focus on for the new year.  It just always feels like a clean slate to me :)

What are yours, if you have any?

  • Goals together w/DH:

    * Reduce current debt and not incur any additional debt.

    * Beef up our savings.

    * Reinstate date night on a regular basis.

    Family goals:

    * Be more organized with household chores.

    * Plan more family outings.

    Personal goals:

    * Not gain any weight back.

    * Crossfit 3 times a week.

    * Qualify for Half Fanatics and run lots of races.

    * Run 1000 miles for the year.

    * Continue listening to audio books and maybe make time to read a real book.

  • Actually get fit, not workout here and there and eat better every day, not just most of the time.

    Take walks and do more fitness stuff with my kids

    Get a house with a shady back yard and spend LOTS of time playing with the kids and relaxing while they run.

    Fine tune things and make some decisions about my company.

    Get more organized, purge and be better about laundry... or commit to getting a maid.

    Figure out if we're having another baby and if we are get pregnant.

  • I have always been terrible about making lists of goals.  It's really funny because I think I'm a pretty successful person, but I rarely think about setting goals and having timelines to achieve them.  I sort of just decide to do something as I go along, and then just do what I need to do.   I suppose that's goal setting, but I don't make a list of things and then try to tick them off.  I find that more anxiety provoking than motivating with the list hanging over my head.  Just the way I look at it.  I know other people find it motivating.
  • *Decide with 100% certainty if we are okay with being one and done on having kids.

    *Get out of my shell and comfort zone of home and get Maddie interacting with more kids.

    *Be nicer to my husband.  Embarrassed

    *Be better about planning regular date nights.
