Hey girls,
What is everyone reading this week? I finished The Santa Cruise. It was really good and a great seasonal read. I am starting the The Christmas Thief. This mother and daughter (Mary and Carol Higgins Clark) have written 4-5 Christmas mystery books and I am going to read them all. I actually read The Christmas Thief 4-5 years ago which was before I started reading all the Carol Higgins Clark books. It features the character that is all of her books so it is fun to reread it!!
Re: weekly book post
I just got the list of books I need to read for my Lit for Young Adults class next semester. I started with one written in the 80s and I thought it was BAD. I don't even think I will be able to re-read it during the spring semester when class actually reads it. It was called Wheezy Bat.
Next up I want to read The Book Thief. I should hopefully have time to start it this weekend, otherwise my last day of work is next Tuesday, so I'll definitely have time to read then!
I will be interested to hear what you thought of The Book Thief; I read it last winter.
I am reading The Shunning by Beverly Lewis. It is an Amish book. It is really not my kind of book, but I need to read a book about a religion other than mine for a book club challenge. Parts of it are good, but parts are slow.
I have a bunch of books that all came in on overdrive. I am not sure what I am going to read next. Possibly Divergent, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, or I still have the Hunger Games trilogy.
I read my first Amish Book last year. It was definitely interesting reading about their ways of life but like the one you are reading, it was a bit slow at parts.
I'm currently re-reading The Hobbit. I've been kind of slacking with reading lately though so it's taking me a while to get through it. I also just picked up the first book of The Walking Dead from the library yesterday. I'm excited to read these cause I love the show and it's not often that I read graphic novels/comic books so it is something a little bit different for me. I still haven't decided though if I will read anything beyond where the show is at since I really don't want the show spoiled for me.
