Oh my readers I need some help

I just finished reading The Help, awesome book! and now have baking weekend coming up this weekend so was wondering if any of you have any suggestions for something thats a lighter/fluff read for winding down at night. I will be headed to the library after work tomorrow (so 12:30ish).I will read nearly anything (not a huge fan of westerns or sci fi)

  • If you haven't read Anna and the French Kiss or Lola and the girl next, those are easy, fluffy YA reads that you can read pretty quickly.  I loved them.

    Ditto!!

I had a hard time reading books after The Help - nothing was nearly as goo. Anna or Lola would be perfect though! You can't help but love them!

  • Water for Elephants is pretty good.

    CRAFTY ME

    my read shelf:
Kasi's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)

  • I'm adding a 3rd vote for Anna & Lola. I like Lola better but you should read Anna first as some of those characters appear in Lola.

If those don't sound like your cup of tea you could look into the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning (Not chick lit but good books/ easy reads) Or for a paranormal romance the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward is amazing.

  • Have you read any of Janet Evanovich books? Her Stephanie Plum series are hilarious and fast reads.
  • If you haven't heard of The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons I think you would like it. It is a historical fiction/love story trilogy. I'm reading the last book now. A bunch of people on the book club board have compared it to Outlander. (Doesn't compare in my opinion but knowing you like Outlander you may want to check this out sometime.) Though this certainly doesn't fit with your request for your next book.
  • I read Water for Elephants after The Help and wasn't disappointed. I am currently reading The Seamstress, it is pretty good too. Or if you haven't done it yet, start the Dragon Tattoo series Smile I am so ready to get book 2 from the library.

  • I ended up with Sarah's Key and a couple of fluff looking books. The Anna and Lola titles are either not at my library or they were out. I had already read Water for Elephants and I have read all of the Stephanie Plum books (including the one that just came out, I read that just before The Help)
