I was doing great on my Advent scarf, and all of a sudden my stitch count was off. Now I've ripped back several rows and it's still off. I'm about to tackle it again today to see if I can figure it out. Wish me luck!

Re: Pass the wine
Sorry
On a brighter note...your siggy cracks me up! I once had a K student who wrote an entire story about her pink sheets--yet spelled "sheets" like your child. I have never laughed so hard in my entire life. Imagine reading a story about how you like to roll around in your new pink "sheets," how good your pink "sheets" smell, how you are so happy your mom put the new "sheets" on your bed. I'm laughing just remembering it now!
LA is currently into saying "yes"--unfortunately she drops the "y" and has more of a short a sound for the e. Yep, says it as LOUD as possible and repeats it over and over.
Gotta train 'em early

It took me a second to figure out what LA was saying, but both of these stories crack me up!
I noticed your siggy pic yesterday, Dr. L. I miss the french fry one, but this one is a worthy option
Sorry to hear about the advent scarf though. When I need to frog a project I'm not confident enough to rip back and instead undo my work stitch by stitch. Yeah, my knitting projects come along veeeeery slowly.
I tried that initially, but was dropping stitches enough that ripping was a more sensible alternative. It doesn't help that every 16 rows the pattern changes, and there's an applied I-cord on either end. But I WILL figure it out!
Justin, love the stories! My brother used to say "truck" with an f instead of a t, and my mom was always worried he's drop the r!

I fixed it! Turned out I dropped a stitch somewhere along the way. Bonus: I stopped at a local yarn store near MIL over Thanksgiving, and got a free dropped stitch tool (it looks like a mini crochet hook to me, but hey, it was free). So I got to use it.
