Re: Daycare cost poll

  • $150/week, Infant, Full Time, Inhome.

Rates drop as they get older (I think around 18 months and then another older age too).

  • $110 or so (might be less)

infant.  Price will drop when she turns 2.

    full time

very small center.  I really love it.

** I've seen it go from $125-$266 a week for an infant.  I'm really lucky with my place.

  • $135 toddler (same regardless) in home

    $155 for K center.

  • imagekms34:

What do you pay per week? $155

Infant or toddler? Same for all ages

She takes 3 weeks paid vacation per year, and we pay regardless of if he is there or not. Kind of sucks, but I guess I'd want the same thing if I was her.

  • We pay $100 per week for a toddler, but the age doesn't effect price.

    We go full time.

    Our is in-home.

*My aunt does our daycare so we get a discount.  She normally charges $125 per week, regardless of age.  She also only charges me $100 per month in the summer since E only goes 1x per week.

She does not take vacay weeks at all.  She does take a day or two throughout the year, but it's usually a Friday because she is going out of town.  We still pay for that time, because we pay weekly.

Yikes, ours takes 2 weeks paid at our in-home and I thought that was plenty.  3 weeks is kind of pushing it.

  • Well mine are in an in-home now, but they'll be in a center after the first of the year. 1. $117 each in-home, $164 each- center. 2. the inhome price would remain the same, but center prices drop around 18 months for most places. Our new center didn't take less than 18 months. 3. I pay my inhome for 5 days a week regardless if we're there or not. Although we don't pay if she's sick or on vaycay. Our center lets us only pay the days we're there. 4. I liked them being in a home initially, but mine are more than ready for the space of a center. I'm happy we're making the move.

  • We get a discount since it's my SIL's inhome daycare.

$150/week for an infant and PT pre-schooler (she's not there 3 mornings a week).  Normally I think it's $130/week for FT.

PT is $26/day or $3/hr for school age kids before/after school.

  • our in-home $60/week/kid full time regardless of age.

    Holy crappy that's cheap!

We have C at an awesome in-home. Just switched to PT, which is $100/week for 3 days + $25/day if we need more. Prior to switching it was $150/week for full time. I don't believe her prices change with age.

  • In home, full time, $125 per kid.  Any vacation she takes is unpaid.  We have to pay whether our kids are there or not.  So we plan our vacations around her.

    thanks to jennied :)

  • $232 infant- formula provided

    $170 3 y/o - preschool

    Center

  • We pay $250 per week for both Owen and Amelie. The rate sheet says $185 per week for infants and $155 per week for preschool. We pay in full at the beginning of each moth. We never have a late payment and are easy to get along with so they gave us a pretty hardcore discount when Amelie was born. They're wonderful.

  • Our daycare is in CB, but:

$173/wk - their food program provides formula, cereal, and baby food. We're making our own baby food, and he is EBF, so we only use the cereal.

Infant -- prices go down at 18 months

    Full time Center

We don't get vacation (this is the one downfall we have) and pay regardless of whether or not he's there, including holidays that they are closed. But, we don't have to pay for the summer if we don't use it at all, and he can go to PT or drop in status if we want instead.
