GSU or KSU

Hi girls!

So I've been wanting to enroll in school here, but had to wait to get my residency.  My intent was to enroll in KSU for the spring, but I have been having the hardest time with the admissions process, transferring of credits (i actually have a degree but they aren't accepting it completely), getting consistent answers to the questions I've had etc...

So my question is, have any of you attended this school and is this typical?  Should I look into GSU?  (I didn't initially because KSU is so close to where I live and I originally heard good things about the university).

Any feedback would be helpful.  thanks :)

Re: GSU or KSU

  • my sis and step son both transferred into KSU. there is always difficulties with transferring credits - both of them had several credits that didn't transfer. i think it really depends on where you went to school before. if you went to another relatively small and unknown school (not to say that it was a bad school, my college probably would have been the same way), credits would be more difficult to transfer. i also think that class requirements are different by school and what you took doesn't have an "equivalent" at KSU. it's a great school and i would definitely keep pursuing it as opposed to GSU. if KSU is so close to your house, you don't want to be driving to GSU everyday. it would get old really quickly! but this is all just my 2 cents.
  • Hi!  I go to GSU (received my BBA and pursuing my Masters now) and also considered KSU for my masters degree.  I will say that I love GSU. Being in downtown Atlanta is awesome. I decided to go to GSU over KSU because in my opinion the degree "looked better".  But if KSU is closer to you, I do not think that it would be worth the extra drive (especially with horrible Atlanta traffic!)
  • Hello!

I graduated from KSU and am a proud Alumni! I absolutely love the school and if it is close to your home, just be patient. Consistently make calls to them. They are so busy with dealing with freshmen coming in, as well as other students transferring.

So, I would definitely say, go for KSU but keep bugging them. Even if you have to spend an entire day up there.
