Nursing Bras

I bought a nursing bra at Target. Seemed like a good fit in the store. Wearing it now and it hurts like hell. Glad I only bought one. Any suggestions on where to buy them? brands? I'd like to go someplace where they will help me with the fitting. Is Motherhood my best bet?

Re: Nursing Bras

  • I am large busted anyway, so pregnancy and breastfeeding only made it worse. The Target brands never fit me well. I found that the Bravado brand fit me best. I think I ordered them online and got some at Lady Grace. I got few others at JC Penney that worked well, but I don't remember the brands.

  • I have one real nursing bra (bravado bought from Target). I have worn it twice and it fits fine (its was sized S, M, L vs real bra sizes). I mostly wear the nursing tanks and sleep bras from Target and find those to be the best for me right now.

  • Amen to Bravado! I bought a couple from a small shop in RI (Bellani Maternity) and they gave me a complete fitting when I came in, which made all the difference in the world. I can't remember the exact style I bought, but one is a sleeping/everyday style and the other is a bit more stiff, but they are both very comfortable and well worth it. I bought a Gilligan & O'Malley one from Target that I HATE and only wear when I have nothing else. I also bought one of their Basics by Bravado, which is decent but not quite as good as the other two that I had gotten. I also recommend the Motherhood nursing tanks, which are my go to for around the house. Good luck!

  • I love my Bravado. They make a bunch of different styles and I have two of them - I definitely prefer one over the other, but I really like both.

  • Another vote for Bravado.  I think I got mine at Lady Grace in Portland.

  • Bravado! Still wearing them everyday.

I also have a Medela sleep bra that I love. No support but good for night.

  • Well it looks like I'll be purchasing a Bravado! Thanks ladies.
