If you make truffles

What's the easiest way to dip them?  I feel like tongs might be too big...at least the ones I have.

Re: If you make truffles

  • I usually just use a small spoon and I've never had any problems.
  • I kind of pick them out of the chocolate using two forks which allows the excess chocolate to drain through the fork....takes a little practice. there is really no super easy or neat way to do it in my experience.

  • Thanks ladies.  I make chocolate covered pretzels all the time and use tongs but for truffles it just doesn't seem feasible to do the same.  I may try the double form technique.

  • I use my fingers... I wash my hands! Roll them in a tight ball, freeze for an hour, dip with thumb and pointer finger, use excess chocolate on finger to smooth over truffle.
