Is this cheesy- electronic Christmas cards?

Do you think electronic Christmas cards are cheesy?

What about if your place of business wanted you to send electronic Christmas cards to clients, but you felt silly doing it?

IMO, I think this is cheesy and cheap.  What's your opinion?

Re: Is this cheesy- electronic Christmas cards?

  • I agree- cheesy in general IMO and from a business I would think they looked cheap as well-

  • Cheesy for sure.

  • Yep, cheap and cheesy.
  • I do not agree at all. We have a LOT of "green" clients and we do electronic holiday cards for all of them. They are not just a JPG of a card though....they are an actual flash document that has been designed by our in-house artists.

I agree with this. If done well and creatively... it's totally acceptable. I once did one for TD Ameritrade that was a bouncing ball jingle that talked about holiday hours as well as wished their clients happy holidays.

  • I would do them if more people did. I love the "green" aspect of it. But as it is, I feel the status quo is to upload a photo to a site like Shutterfly, pay for the prints, pay for postage, and kick it old skool by sending out traditional cards. Maybe someday.
