    1. Hobbies? Photography, CrossFit, Pinterest (haha)

    2. Are you and your H planning on having any more kids? Probably not. We've always said we only want 2 kids.

    3. Last time you and your H went on a date (without the kids)? What did you do? I think it was for his birthday (Nov. 7). We went to Chili's (our friend is the manager and gave us free food Smile) and went shopping at the outlet mall.

    4. If you could pick any career, what would it be? Exactly what I'm doing right now. Being a mom/aspiring photographer.

    5. Favorite book? Ummmm.... I never read fiction, ever. I read a lot of self-helpish/parenting books. I guess I don't really have a favorite. Not that I can think of right now. Lame, sorry.

    imagetbvenable:

Have you moved into your new house? If so, how do you like it? Yes! We moved in July. I love it! It's double the size of our old house, so I feel like I have soooo much room (although as the boys get bigger I know I'm going to be itching for more space). I love the neighborhood.

How do you stay on budget every month? We don't. Next month we're going to have to re-evaluate our budget because I feel like we don't allow enough in certain categories which ends up with me overspending. We were REALLY tight before we moved (to save up for the move). And now we've become lazy. That's going to change though, because I'm ready for a new car now! :)

What is 1 of your favorite dishes for the holidays and can we have a recipe? Corn Pudding. I always bring thing to Thanksgiving. It's so bad for you.

    1/2 cup sugar

    4 T. Cornstarch

    1 1/2 tsp. Season-All seasoned salt

    1/2 tsp. dry mustard

    1 tsp. minced onion

Mix together thoroughly in large bowl before adding remaining ingredients

    5 eggs (lightly beaten)

    1/2 cup milk

    1/2 cup butter (1 stick)

    2 cans cream style corn

1 ? 2 cans whole kernel corn (I use 16 oz. frozen corn ? cooked in microwave)

Pour into 3 qt. casserole or 9 x 13 pan sprayed with PAM

Bake at 400 (375 for glass pan) for 1 hour

Take out and stir thoroughly after 30 minutes and continue baking 30 minutes

Favorite store to buy clothes? I hardly ever shop for clothes anymore! :( I love Franchesca's. And I love Lucca, but they're so freakin' snotty there. I'm getting so annoyed with the sales girls that I want to quit going there.

What is Big C's personality like? What are his favorite and least-favorite things? He's a lot like his dad. He's pretty chill and easy going. He plays well by himself. His favorite things... toy story, side walk chalk, his 4 wheeler (when it's not so cold). His least favorite.... big crowds of people (my family gatherings), being told what to do, tomatoes.

How does Big C like having a baby brother? He likes him! Today in the car he kept saying, "He's so cute, mom!" We haven't had any problems so far. Sometimes he is kind of indifferent towards him. OMG, the other day he was laying in my bed with Chase and he said, "Mommy, I love baby Chase. He is my best friend." Sweetest thing ever.

Describe (or PIP) your holiday decorations that are up:

Here is a crappy iPhone pic of our Christmas lights. I'm so bummed only like 3 other people on our street have lights.

    image

And another iPhone pic of our tree. There is stuff on the mantle too but I couldn't fit it all in one picture :) Our tree still needs a topper! I'm waiting to find the perfect one.

    image

What is on your Christmas list this year? A Keurig, a new camera lens, clothes, workout pants/shirts, a printer (mine crapped out), an iPad 2 (but that's not happening).

    imageostatekris05:

How much "blow" money do you budget each month for you and H? $60 (this is going up next year)

What specifically should this money cover? Anything extra I want to spend on myself (clothes, lunch dates, etc.)

Do you find it easier/better to take this money in a lump sum each month or weekly? I usually do bi-weekly because that's when H gets paid. Plus if I did it all at the beginning of the month it'd be gone by like the 5th :)

Does your Christmas tree have a theme? Kind of! I kept it all white/clear. I got a small tree for Cooper so that we could put the eclectic/kid ornaments on it.

    image5thOfJuly:

Prior to SAH, what types of work did you do? I got pregnant when I was 20, so not much. I waited tables in high school and college. When I got married I worked as a Chiropractic Assistant (which I hated). I'm very entrepreneurial so I've always been looking for ways to own my own business. I used to buy and sell on eBay for about a year, then I lost my supplier so I stopped doing that. Now I work for my dad twice a week (doing the payroll, accounts receivable type stuff). I've been doing that for about 2 years and I really like it. Next year I'm going to kick the photography thing into high gear. Up until now I've just had word of mouth referrals and haven't advertised or anything. I'm going to work at it a lot next year and really try to get myself out there (which is kind of scary, not going to lie).

Do you ever think you'll return to the paid labor force full time? If so, doing what? Oh, well... see my ramblings above :)

What's one of your favorite things to do with the kids? With Cooper I love to take him to explore new things. He's at such a fun age. I love to take him to the kid events that come into town (Sesame Street Live, Disney on Ice, A Day with Thomas, etc). He gets so excited! Chase is still so little, but he is very "talkative" and loves to play and smile. I love sitting on the couch with him and playing this little game we play that makes him start to belly laugh. It's so cute. I love to just hold Chase. He's not going to be this little for very long and I'm trying to soak it up as much as possible.

What's one of your favorite things to do with your DH (besides sex :) )? I love going to CrossFit with him. We always make an effort to go together (instead of separately) because it's time we get to spend doing something without the kids. It feels like we're dating/friends and not "mom and dad." I also love being able to go get a drink with him and just hang out and talk. We have so much fun together it's nice to be able to just have quality one on one time instead of sitting in front of the TV every evening.

  • What do you love about CrossFit?

Favorite thing to do when you have some time to yourself [if that ever happens]?

One thing you're looking forward to in 2012?

What do you love about CrossFit? I love how every day it's something different. I love how it forces me to do a variety of exercises and the workouts don't become static. I also love how it's competitive. You all start the WOD (workout of the day) at the same time and it's a race to finish. That really drives me to work harder because I'm really competitive. There is always something to work on or something to get better at doing.

Favorite beverage [alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic]? Non alcoholic is, sadly, Coke. Alcoholic is red wine (especially pinot noir).

Favorite thing to do when you have some time to yourself [if that ever happens]? Read (I always have like 5 books I'm reading simultaneously) or get on one of the many forums I love (my new favorite is clickinmoms.com) or read through Google Reader and check out my favorite blogs.

One thing you're looking forward to in 2012? Hopefully Disney World in September or October! We aren't certain we're going then, but it's pretty likely. Also, H and I are going to New Orleans in January (without the kids) and I'm pretty excited about that :)

  • What things do you do that make you feel like you're a good wife?

Have you decided what car you want next? (We kind of talked about this a while back!)

Do your parents/inlaws want you guys to have more children?

If you could pick another baby name, what would it be?

Favorite restaurant in OKC right now?

What things do you do that make you feel like you're a good wife? Good question! Of course I always feel like I could do things to be a better wife. He hates complaining, I try not to complain. I try to not ask him to do things, I'll just do them myself. Sometimes I'll get up with the boys (early) so he doesn't have to. I (try to) keep the house clean, I'm not sure how much he cares about that but he never complains! And of course, sex. Of course all husbands want more sex. So, to be a good wife I give it to him when he wants it.... most of the time. Wink

Have you decided what car you want next? (We kind of talked about this a while back!) I don't really know. It's a way off, but I'm thinking a smaller SUV. I want an SUV, but this Expedition is ridiculous on gas mileage (and really, I'm not "green" I'm just cheap). Like, maybe a Toyota 4Runner or Ford Edge. I like the little Infiniti SUV's (I forget what they're called... not the big giant one but the littler one). And, we like Infinitis around here. Apparently they last forever. Even when you want them to die.

Do your parents/inlaws want you guys to have more children? I have no idea! I haven't ever asked them. They probably would like it, but I also think they're fine with just 2.

If you could pick another baby name, what would it be? I really like Avery (even though it's insanely popular) for a girl. I still love Bennett and Reid too.

Favorite restaurant in OKC right now? I always love Deep Fork, but we haven't been there in a long time.

  • How and when did you come up with baby C's name?

What's one thing P does that annoys you?

What's your favorite thing about this time of the year (besides the holidays!)?

Are you doing WW right now? (I never remember to ask you this)

Have you had any professional photography training or are you totally self-taught?
<<this made me think of that Friends episode where that chick is "dancing" and she says "I haven't had any professional dance training" hahaha!>>

Both of your boys are napping--what are you doing?

Favorite thing about being a mom?  Least favorite thing?

How and when did you come up with baby C's name? Funny story. I was going to lunch with my dad and my grandma when I was 40-something weeks pregnant and we still hadn't decided on a name. My grandma was telling us this story about my cousin-in-law's brother (named Chase) and how Chase left their dog outside in the 100+ degree heat while my cousin and her husband were out of town. She going on and on with the story and I was thinking, "Hm. I like the name Chase." so I texted H and he said "I love it." He NEVER said he loved a name, so we went with it! Grandma likes to say SHE named Chase Wink.

What's one thing P does that annoys you? When we get into an argument, he shuts down. He just leaves the room and won't talk to me. It's so freaking annoying because I have to be the one to "give in" and talk first or we wouldn't ever speak again. Seriously. He's so stupidly stubborn.

What's your favorite thing about this time of the year (besides the holidays!)? I like being able to wear sweatshirts and boots and leggings instead of sweating my butt off all day.

Are you doing WW right now? (I never remember to ask you this) Bleh, no. I haven't been to a meeting in a month. I was doing ok for a while there. I'm thinking about starting to just try to eat clean. Cut out processed crap and just eat REAL food. At least try that through the end of the year and see how it goes. I'm actually planning out my "Clean eating" menu right now.

Have you had any professional photography training or are you totally self-taught?
<<this made me think of that Friends episode where that chick is "dancing" and she says "I haven't had any professional dance training" hahaha!>> OMG Pheobe's friend who says she'll call "on your MOBILE." hahaha.

I have taken a few photography classes, but I don't have a degree in it or anything. I'm primarily self taught.

Both of your boys are napping--what are you doing? I'm probably cleaning, on the computer or resting. Usually a combination of those 3.

Favorite thing about being a mom?  Least favorite thing? Favorite thing is playing with them and genuinely having fun and watching him crack up and be silly. Cooper has such a personality now and it's so fun to just hang out with him and hear what's going on in his mind. Least favorite... the worry. I worry constantly. I wish I could give it to God and get past it, but it's really hard.
