If I make my Christmas cookies this weekend, will they last until Christmas?

Do you have to store them special??

    My grandma always made hers early, because she would literally bake hundreds and hundreds of cookies.  She stored them in (airtight) tins in the garage, where it was colder.  They tasted good to me!  :o)

    My Mom and I bake ours all during the month of December, and just freeze them.  We usually use metal tins lined with wax paper and then layers of wax paper in between each layer or two of cookies.  When I was a kid we would make tons and tons and TONS of cookies.  I kid you not we had cookies all the way through January too, and they still tasted fresh when we'd take them out from the freezer and let them defrost.

    I've had cookies last for quite a few weeks, if they start getting hard I just put a piece of bread in the container with them and it will keep them soft.

    They don't last long around here (definately not until Christmas)...but thats only because I would eat them all!

    Assuming you have more self control then I do and they are properly stored I think they will make it to Christmas.
