Should DH let his boss know
DH has been working at the same company for 8 years. Today during weekly meeting human resource lady told everyone about a job opening in management. It's a few states away DH is going to ask if it's possible to work at home a few days a week. He already works out of town almost every week so that's not different for us. He wants to email HR and ask about details of the job but feels out of respect to his boss he should let him know he's asking about the job. His boss has been real great to DH. We both think he should let his boss know but not completely sure.

I'll tell DH that thanks. He's never had to apply for a new position before he just got promoted automatically last time. Everything works different since his company got bought out last year.
