**the Christmas Letter***
Per request, our letter this year, minus the family stuff:
How The Economy Stole Christmas
Now as the snow is falling down,
Joblessness is up all over town.
Economy is bleak and there?s news every day
of some new debt crisis or country disarray.
The stock market has fallen more than the snow,
Heaping despair on investors with dollars to grow.
Even Bernacke has lost his dour good cheer
and we all are faced with a trying fiscal year.
But on Christmas! On shopping! On trinkets and presents!
On cards and decorations! On cooking and incense!
Christmas still comes, but it?s a little bit lean
With added frugality becoming the mean.
Even Santa shops for bargains at Christmas on-line.
How else to explain all those Craig?s List finds?
Oh, yes, Christmas will come!
It will come without iPads and Nintendo DSs.
It will come without Bose headphones and material excesses.
It will come with small things tucked here and there --
A warm hug from a friend, some sign of deep care.
Sometimes just a little can mean a whole lot more
When it?s too much a stretch to buy at the store,
But something that comes from deep down in your core. ******
Even if Christmas is a little bit less,
We hope it isn?t causing you one whit of stress
And wish you all with good heart and good cheer
A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Re: **the Christmas Letter***
nice! this is my favorite part:
A warm hug from a friend, some sign of deep care.
Sometimes just a little can mean a whole lot more
When it?s too much a stretch to buy at the store,
But something that comes from deep down in your core.
