I've never been the neatest person and my husband is worse then me. Any suggestions on a cleaning schedule that is easy to stick w/? I feel like I've tried everything but I can't ever manage to stay on track and then it just becomes overwhelming. I'd like to find a schedule that works for us especially since we want to start a family and I know it will only be harder when the babies come. TIA for suggestions

Re: Ugh
I agree about setting aside time once a week (or every 2 weeks) to clean. Is there something you already do regularly? (church, bowling, etc?) If so, it'll be easier to say you'll clean when you get home from church or before you go to bowling or whatever. If not, do you have a calendar? I find them to be useful in keeping track of events and don't understand how others can live without them.
I would suggest getting a calendar and writing down "cleaning" every Sunday (or whatever day you two choose)
Also, if you need motivation - how about rewarding yourselves? Once the house is clean, you can go out for ice cream!
I'll have to give this a try. He's a police officer so his schedule fluctuates but hopefully we can find 1 day a week (2 weeks). Also sounds easier to stick with then trying to do a little every day.
Hmm let's see...
1. Grow up.
Yeah, that's all I got.
As far as "doing a little everyday"... don't forget to clean up your messes. If you eat on the couch, vacuum right after. Put all the dishes in the dishwasher. Put away laundry once it's out of the dryer, etc.
