Has anyone used the view and share CD from Picture People to order holiday cards? If so, how did they turn out? The website says it is a low-res CD so I am unsure of the quality, but the other CD options are so expensive. If you didn't buy the CD, did you just buy 1 sheet of photos and scan one into your computer to make a card?
DH has this terrible idea that he wants us in matching turtlenecks and Christmas sweaters for a JCPenney-like photo card. He thinks it will be funny and people will love it. I think it's going to get us an entry into Awkward Family Photos. I'm sure the picture will be hilarious, but I know that some people won't get that it's a joke. His argument is that (hopefully) this will be the last year that our Christmas cards don't involve babies, so he thinks we should take advantage and do a funny photo.
So if you can't tell, I'm trying not to spend a ton of money on a photo shoot that will look like this:
Re: picture people - view and share CD ?
haha - this is DH's dream photo.
Love the idea -- what if you just went to Walmart Portrait Studio and had it done
Do they have them around here?
Not judging anyone who uses the Walmart studios for their photos... I just figured it would be cheap. Hehe.
I was going to suggest Sears, along these lines. Picture People is crazy expensive and I swore I'd never go back there after bad experiences.
And I'm not convinced they'll have the marble-y background required for this shot.
I voted Sears or JCPenney, but again, I told DH if he really wanted this picture, he would need to schedule it. I assumed he wouldn't follow through - I know what they say about people who assume! It will be okay if they don't have the marble background. I'm sure we will find other just-as-bad options. I will probably end up sitting in a gift box or something.
I get coupons for JCPortraits via email and when I get one, would be happy to forward it to you if you like. Though that goes against the whole "if DH wants it, he has to do it" (I do that too). Just send me a PM with your email address if you are interested.
