But my house isn't parent ready
My dad just called. He found a truck on Craigslist that he would like. It is in the Baltimore area, and he lives in Boston. Apparently this means he is coming to stay with us today or tomorrow.
The funniest/ most annoying part is that even though he is skilled enough at the Internet to shop on Craigslist, he has no idea how to use the internet to find his own transportation down here.
It will be great to see him, and A will be thrilled, because she adores her Grumpy. I need to get cleaning.
He tried to buy a truck last week when he was in Reno for my mom's birthday, but it didn't have air. He is such a nut.

Re: But my house isn't parent ready
I have spent the last hour looking at prices for him. I think he will end up taking the bus. He had my brother-in-law look up flights for him last night, but he is too thrifty to pay last minute prices.
The whole thing cracks me up because it is such a him thing to do.
I think I might love your dad.
Also at my house my mom is the one who requires cleaning pre-visit, my dad not so much.
I was thinking the same thing, I wouldn't think to clean for my dad as he would never notice.
