What's up, ladies?

Hey ladies!  I miss chatting with all of you every day.  :)

So what's going on with everyone?

I have my final project due for this semester's grad class this Friday.  It's not going to be all that difficult, but it is going to take some time to just create all the pieces.  And of course, I've been procrastinating, so I need to do all of it this week.

We finally got our Christmas tree up today...still need to add some of the ornaments.  I don't think we're going to get around to putting out any outside lights this year.  I have our Christmas cards, but I haven't had a chance to start writing or addressing them yet.  I have to be honest, ladies...I may not be able to send the same number I have in the past, so if you don't get one from us, please don't be offended!

DH's knee is doing pretty good!  We think that the PT is going to let him start putting a little weight on it this week.

I'm heading back to the RE this week.  On Wednesday, I'll be getting an HSG, and DH will be doing an S/A.  Once we know the results....well, then we'll figure things out.

I'm leaving for Ohio on the 14th, and DH will be joining me on the 24th...so we'll be spending this anniversary apart.  I'm bummed about that, but it'll be nice to get to spend so much time with my family!

Re: What's up, ladies?

  • Hi Carrie!! I miss chatting with everyone too.

Right now I am just enjoying my last day of freedom as I go back to work tomorrow but I only have to work 3 days this week and 3 day next week as I have 2 weeks off for Christmas. I really don't want to go back but oh well. The only bright side right now is that it is Christmas so there are parties and so really I am not going to be working that much :)

I have been trying to work on some craft projects and hopefully I will get some of those finished by next week. DH and I are really not exchanging gifts this year but I am working on a canvas project for him and then I have some coasters to make that I saw on pinterest (hope they turn out as nice as they do on the person's blog).

I'm hoping to organize my craft stuff and some of this house during my christmas break. I just feel like it is a little messy and I just want to organize. DH wants me to rest but my OCD is not letting me as I see so much stuff that needs to be done.

I finally finished stuffing, addressing and stamping our Christmas cards. I probably shouldn't have sent out so many because it gets a little expensive when you send around 65ish and that doesn't include the ones I give to coworkers. I probably won't send out as many next year because even though I had a gift card to shutterfly it still got expensive, so I understand about not being able to send out as many. I won't be offended.

I hope your project comes together quickly and you won't have to spend all week on it. That is great that you are almost done with this semester. I am sure you did a great job.

So glad your DH knee is doing better and that he can put some weight on it this week. Has he been able to go back to work or is he working from home? I can't imagine having to go to work in crutches and everything that involves.

Good luck on Wednesday. I remember the HSG days. It only hurt for a second or two. I took 2 advil's about an hour before and that helped. Hopefully they will be able to give you some answers and come up with a plan. Please keep us posted as I have been trying to follow you on GP, but I don't go on there as much and I am afraid I will miss updates.

That sucks you guys won't be together for your anniversary but hopefully you can make it up before or after. I still can't believe that it has been 4 years as it doesn't seem that long. That is also great that you will get to spend some time with your family though as I am sure you miss them.

How is that cute satchel doing? I read that he got out but glad he got home. I read that and my heart dropped.

I am glad you are doing well.

I also can't believe how fast it has seemed this year has flown. It seemed like yesterday it was January and now it is the end of the year.

  • HI Carrie!

Things are good. Busy with the girls. Other than that, not much news yet. Trying to fit in wrapping christmas presents around nap times. Still waiting to hear back about the post from the other day.

Good luck on wednesday, hopefully you guys can get some good news.

I understand on the christmas cards. I cut back this year and still send out about 70!

  • Hi Carrie! I'm glad you went to the doc yesterday. I hope it went well. I was actually thinking about how things were going in that area the other day. I'm sorry you'll be apart for your anniversary but hope you have a great time in Ohio!!
