Our daycare provider has been nothing but awesome since Sam's been going to her, so we were planning on getting her a little something in honor of the Holiday spirit. But now that Sam is on nebulizer treatments, and she's been more than willing to help us with that during the day, I feel like I really want to get her something special to thank her for all she's done. Any ideas?

Re: Need gift ideas...
What kind of person is she? What does she like to do outside of work?
I'd def do a cute card that Sam can "help" with.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Some sort of gift basket with lotions, candles and maybe a spa gc or something. A gc to a nice restaurant?
I guess it depends how much you want to spend.
As far as price goes, I don't want to go too crazy, but I would like to get her something substantial.
She's a mother of 4 herself, in her late 40s and active as can be. She's so sweet but you can tell she just spends her time with the daycare kids then tending to her own, so yeah, maybe something along the lines of a gift basket with a lot of spa-like items?

Cash.
Ya, Spa gc was what I was going to recommend. Going off how much I'd love a spa treatment to relax after just watching my own daughter, I can only imagine how amazing it would feel after watching multiple kids that aren't mine, lol.
I mentioned that to Chris... he said he would feel weird, and he thinks a nicer gift would suffice since we were planning on giving her something anyway.

Or maybe some homemade yummies, a nice christmas ornament and gift card to a restaurant or starbucks?
Maybe I'm baised, but I think people always like edible or spendable things. Sometimes things like lotions or bubble bath, etc can just end up in a closet/cabinet somewhere if it's not the brand/smell, etc that someone likes. Even if you don't want to make homemade goodies, maybe a panettone or set of danishes or even some good bread from Panera or another local bakery? Or a really nice set of chocolates from somewhere?
'Tis funny, because I knew your response was going to be food-related even before I clicked on the post ?

all people like food
My mom taught HS and she also appreciated the token gcs and such. Her favorites were to places like Target, which she could then use to restock classroom supplies. Most times these were accompanied by token gifts like mugs, candy, bread, etc.- so best of both worlds?
Stand up for something you believe in.
Methinks thats a good idea!
