As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Life Time or Powerhouse?
We're currently Life Time (Novi) members but we could save quite a bit of money if we made the switch to Powerhouse (Novi). I also liked how Powerhouse was a lot less crowded during the post-work hours (something that frustrates me about Life Time). Has anyone had experiences at both enough to recommend, or at least in love with one? I was all ready to make the switch over to Powerhouse, but I've heard a few shady things, plus when my husband went to check it out today he was quoted a different price (still way cheaper than Life Time though).
Any recommendations?

I never liked Powerhouse when we were members, but I was comparing it to Bally. It seemed dark & dirty to me (the F. Hills one). I've never been to Life Time. I didn't want to be tempted
LA Fitness just bought Bally so they'll all be switching over. I'm not sure what their pricing is like, but maybe something to look into?

My brother likes Powerhouse but he belongs to LA Fitness and likes it much better. He goes to the gym daily, and isn't afraid to complain, so I trust his opinion.
I would leave LifeTime because of the cost.
Oh no way, really? I wonder if that will affect the hours of the Bally's in Novi. Thanks for the tip, maybe we'll wait!
It already shows on on their site so maybe the switch has already happened.

Yes, good call, it did; I actually set up an appointment to go take a look and get some more info. I'll post back here when I find out more in case the info helps anyone else. In that vein: does anyone already belong to LA Fitness Novi/formerly Bally's?
