My step-brother is critically ill and in the hospital. He has a wife and seven children ages 3 months old to 12 years old. We need a website where we can list chores and tasks that people can volunteer to do to help the family. Then the website should provide a way for people to sign up for a task. The types of tasks might be for things like babysitting, cleaning, taking the kids to their activities, etc.
We are already using CaringBridge.com for the status updates on my step-brother's medical conditiong and http://takethemameal.com/ for people who want to volunteer to bring food. We just need a website that allows us to help organize volunteer type activities. Any recommendations are appreciated.
ETA: I'm currently evaluating CareCalendar. Let me know if you have any experience with this.
Re: Website for organizing tasks for people to volunteer to help family?
I had a co-worker last year who was terminally ill and we used Lots of Helping Hands to organize meal donations, grocery shopping, shuttling kids, etc... it worked great because you could sign up for your day/time/etc....
sorry about your step-brother. I hope he improves quickly.
