I've had so many ups and downs since Friday. I found out first thing Friday morning that my childhood cat died overnight Thursday night. He was almost 12 and lived with my parents still. He was sick so he's not in pain anymore so I'm happy he's no longer suffering. I really miss him :'( . I'm still devastated, but it's getting a little better day by day.
On top of that, my friend's grandmother (who is like my own grandmother) had a stroke on Friday as well. She's doing better now, but it was a big scare.
I also interviewed for the full time advisor position at my current job on Friday, and found out earlier that I got the job! At the highest amount they were planning on offering. I start in January. Hopefully the change in job with make the environment better (and its about time they hired me full time - I've been there almost 5 years and have consistently been the highest rated faculty for the majority of those years)!
Re: It's been a rollercoaster
Hey girl, I'm sorry about your kitty. That's so sad
And I'm also sorry about your friend's grandmother. That's a lot to deal with at once.
Congratulations on the job! I hope things improve for you there!

First of all, congrats on your job!! I know that you have been stressed about your job situation, so I hope that things calm down for you with an administrator position!
I'm sorry to hear about your cat. Losing a longtime pet is like losing a family member. I'm sure she led a great life surrounded by an amazing human family.
I'm also sorry to hear about your friend's grandma's condition. It's always nerveracking when someone close to us has major health problems. I hope that she can recover from this.
I'm so sorry to hear about your cat, and your friend's grandmother. It's good to hear that she's doing better, I hope she makes a full recovery.
Congrats on your job! whoooo hooooo! Hopefully it will be just the change you need!
Wow, that's a lot of ups and downs for such a short period of time; it's very hard to feel happy and sad at the same time. I hope that your friends grandma recovers and that you have time to grieve over your loss. Congratulations on the job, I hope that it will be the change you are looking for!
Losing a cat is the worst. I still pine for my childhood cat and I lost her fall 2008. It will get better over time though, and new kitties are a good cure
Congratulations on the job! That's very exciting.

H and I just recently got a kitty, so she's been a great comfort...I haven't been to my parents house yet, and I know that's going to be tough.
I have to introduce the new kitty to you guys!
