Evidently an officer was shot?
One guy in custody? Maybe another on foot?
EDIT: The officer died. How horrible.NBC says the police confirmed two fatalities, one was the campus police officer and the second was found in a parking lot close by.
How awful. T&P with families of the victims, and everyone on campus.
How terrible. I just can't believe how much VT has been through. T&P to the families and to the VT community.

i cannot imagine dealing with that sort of tragedy as a student.
the news said the shooter has not been caught yet...i hope soon!!!!!! blacksburg is one of the best cities anywhere!!!!

Wow. News just announced that the second fatality was actually the shooter, who had been shot by the police officer after he opened fire.
Ugh. So sad for that officer's family.
