Baby handprint ornaments... do these look OK?
First of all - eeeva thanks for the suggestion for that paperclay stuff! It was really great and easy to work with, and now the ornaments have dried very light which is great for hanging.
That being said... they kind of curled up (the package said that some shrinking might occur during drying) and now I'm not sure if they look OK.
What do you ladies think? Am I being silly... after all, they are homemade ornaments.
Also, do you think I should paint them or leave them natural? The handprints aren't as deep as I would have liked but they are visible, especially the fingers. (Sorry for the poor lighting in the pics...)

I am so glad it worked! They look great. I would hang them with a pretty ribbon maybe a little greenery and put his name and age on it.
I have things like this from when I was a baby until I was bigger. It's always cool to see your hand print.
Also I am glad the paper clay worked for you. I was wondering if you found some.

They look great! The charm is that they are homemade; they're not supposed to look perfect!
I like them natural with a colored ribbon. If you do decide you want to make the handprint more distinguishable though, maybe you could paint either the handprint or the space around the handprint gold or silver or some other neutral yet festive color. Also, the name & date thing for sure - I bet a fine tip Sharpie would work on unpainted clay.
Sharpie! Brilliant. That sounds so much easier than painting... I could it right now!

The Sharpie worked great! Now I just need to glaze (I'm leaving them natural as you ladies suggested).
