Last night we had a second showing of a house we love
This time with my father. Who found rampant mold growth all over the attic. All of the beams holding up the roof (and the ceiling) were covering in black mold growth.
Obviously we didn't look in the attic at the first showing. Bummer!
Our realtor has told us that we have another week to find a house, or we probably won't be able to move in somewhere immediately and we'll need to stay somewhere in between selling and buying. Which means moving twice.
But we're looking at some houses this weekend. Fingers crossed!

Aw, I'm sorry. But good that you found that! I assume they'll have to either disclose or remediate at this point, so bummer for the sellers, too.

OMG. I hope the sellers fix it. Gross. I'm sorry it didn't work out, but glad you didn't get stuck with a moldy house.
Good luck this weekend. Moving twice would suck, but if you're looking for your forever house (I forget if this is the case) then it's probably worth it in the long run rather than settling for something less than what you want.

This is the second house we've liked. The first one sold, and now this one has all that mold so it's a definite no. But I have high hopes for some of the house we're looking at on Saturday.
I would hate to move twice. If we put an offer in on a house right before closing or something then we will have to live with my father for a short period. But if we have no prospects come closing, then we'll get an apartment.
