Can I get some Nestie suggestions for teacher gifts? I'm having such a hard time coming up with something this year. It used to be so easy when DD only had 2 or 3 teachers, and we got them something really nice. Now she has seven teachers, so it's not really feasible to spend what we used to per teacher.
The only thing I've come up with so far that I don't hate is maybe some sort of edible goodies and a gift card to the cute little local coffee shop here (they're all coffee drinkers according to DD), all wrapped in a nice mug or something.
Help please!
Re: Teacher gifts...
this
I think I've decided to do some of the Tervis cups and some cookies.
ETA: I didn't read that you were talking about 7 teachers.
I feel like we have a gazillion teachers at daycare. 2 primary for each kid and then there are their 3 favorites that aren't their primary teachers anymore. Plus, the director, asst director and the third in charge. Not to mention to the sweet cook.
Then there are the 2-3 different teachers who take over around 5:00-5:30 when the primary teachers leave.
That is a lot of teacher gifts. I feel cheap doing $5-10, but I also don't want to break the bank buying for 14 extra people.
How about a mug or travel mug with a small sbux gift card and one of these tucked inside?

The sticker version would be easiest and something it's simple & useful
I did this idea from Pinterest: http://pinterest.com/pin/61009769921586228/.
Bought the containers from Michael's, plus some cute tags and sticky ribbon tape to put the labels on them. Filled them with some pine scented tea lights, some Say Yes to Cucumber face wipes, cozy socks, and then Christmas-scented hand lotion and antibacterial minis from Bath and Body Works. I did the green color scheme and am going to call it a "refresh" basket. I had nail files for each teacher but they didn't fit in
It came out to about $12 per teacher (she has one main, one assistant, and one after school).
I'm also going to attach some goodies to each one (Oreo truffles and/or butterscotch haystacks).
This.
Best teacher gift I ever got was $100 cash and a pan of eggrolls.
I told all my kids who asked what I wanted was for them to get an A for the last six weeks.
My mom was a teacher/administrator for a long time, so I definitely know that knick-knacks and anything apple/owl/#1bestteacherEVER stuff is off limits.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
I hope you gave that kid LOTS of free homework passes ;-)
