  • Egg Nog for me too. I could seriously drink gallons of it if it wasn't so bad for you. A few years ago, McDonald's had an egg nog shake, and it was heavenly.

  • Anything peppermint :-)  Chik-fil-a peppermint shake.

  • Non-alcoholic is definitely a peppermint mocha.

Alcoholic: straight up bubbly, or I also love "Poinsettia Punch," which is sparkling, vodka, and cranberry juice with a little triple sec/Grand Marnier and orange peel. Kind of like this recipe although I swear we added vodka too. Yum yum.

  • Hot Buttered Rum

    Adapted from an Emeril recipe.

    32oz bag Brown sugar
    1/4 cup honey
    2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
    2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1/4 tsp salt
    pinch of cloves

Blend together, form into log, wrap in saran wrap and put in fridge until firm. Cut into 24 pieces and individually wrap in saran wrap to keep in fridge.

Use one (or two if you have a sweet tooth like me) portion in a mug, add 1.5-3oz of rum (DH likes 3, I like 1.5) and pour boiling water up to top of mug - stir and enjoy.

    Fresh cranberry cosmo

I make the syrup and freeze it in ice cube trays so I can have them whenever, just add line juice and vodka.  Sometimes I like to add a splas of club soda or ginger ale.

I recently saw Cranberry mojitos too which look like I could use my cranberry cubes just with mint, rum, lime and club soda.

  • I will drink anything sweet, so this is a fun season for me.

Hot chocolate, cider, eggnog. Preferably all spiked.

  • i'm so thirsty now ;)

  • Eggnog and rum, this is the only day of the year I will drink this. It is just so perfect for Christmas.

But I'm excited about other ideas in this thread.

My family does a version of this too, just cranberry juice and sparkling wine.  Poinsettias are a must-have at all our holiday parties.
