Monday is the day!!
One way or another, I will know when my divorce is finalized. Either STBXH has to get the appraisals to my attorney by 9am, or we will set a court date and let the judge decide who gets what. Has anyone else had to go in front of a judge for this? STBXH hasnt paid a dime towards the house, or bills since Feb. Even before then, he would give me money to pay the bills ony when I brought the bill to him and told him he had to pay it. Im nervous the Judge is going to say we have to sell the house. The area we live in, there is a 2 year wait on apartments, and even then, I dont think I could afford to rent one. A studio is going for $3000/month plus utilities. STBXH is living with his parents, and our house is right next door to my parents (a plus with all the hell he has put me through). IF we had to sell we wouldnt even get what our house is worth because the ceptic tank is on my parents property (we knew we would have issues selling when we bought the house). After he took everything in the house, has a restraining order on him barring him from the house, What would the likelyhood be that the judge will make us sell or give him the house?

Try not to worry too much about it. STBX looks like a huge asss in the eyes of the court. Hopefully he will just get the papers in but if not the judge will be understand to your side I hope.
Honestly, one of my favorite quotes is something along the lines of, "My biggest worries in life are those that never came to fruition". Worrying won't help the situation, it will only torture you.
Holy crap, where do you live?
North Dakota, In the Bakken oil region. There are so many people moving here, that there are housing shortages. It really sucks, and I am bound and determined not to loose my house. My dad has offered to buy out STBXH if it comes to that, but I dont want to pay what he things the house is worth (STBXH feels he deserves $300,000 for the house, and our appraisal was for $110,000 due to the no ceptic tank).
