What recipe do you use for salt dough?

I made some salt dough this morning to make handprint ornaments with DS for the top of grandparents gifts. When I baked them they got all puffy and cracked. I think I need to try again with a different recipe or a lower temp. What recipe do you like for salt dough?

Re: What recipe do you use for salt dough?

  • I do one cup flour, one cup salt, 1/2 cup water. Sometimes it needs a little more flour and I let DD do the measuring, so it's not exact. I usually just air dry, but when I did bake them I used a 200 degree oven.
