Winter Footwear Clicky Poll

So I suppose this is mostly for the ladies who leave the house to go to work, but everyone should feel free to answer with what you used to do, or what you think the appropriate thing to do is.

Re: Winter Footwear Clicky Poll

  • Hahaha, this is a tough question.  I don't wear "real" winter boots, but I have my leather riding boots that I wear a few times a week.  Otherwise I just suck it up and wear my shoes.  The sidewalks are usually pretty clean by the time I'm walking into the office.

  • Well I have winter boots that I love and I think are cute, so I usually just leave them on all day.  But I wonder if people think it's weird.
  • I wear boots pretty much the whole winter, but they're uggs or my other similar type of boots

  • I have winter boots that I only wear when we get a lot of snow.. I end up switching them at my desk once I get in the office, most of the time I do it not because of cold feet but because I don't want my pant legs to get wet.

  • I would either wear my dress boots or flat boots (not real winter boots) or regular shoes and suck it up. If it was bad out and I wanted to wear regular shoes, I'd wear my Neos then take those off when I got in my office.  But usually throughout the day I'd have to walk between buildings and through the snow so I'd get my shoes wet anyhow because I never took the time to put my Neos back on.

    I HIGHLY recommend Neos!!

  • When I use to work it would depend on how much snow there was.  The more snow, then I'd wear either tennis shoes or boats & then change into my shoes once I got to work.

  • I wear winter boots and change into shoes at work... I have to supervise recess, so boots are a must-have!
  • When I worked I used to wear warm winter boots and then change into my heels at work.  Our parking area was not close at all to the building so warm winter boots was a must.

  • I used to just wear my shoes, but I got tired of cold feet and having them ruined by the snow/salt.  Last year I invested in a nice, cute pair of winter boots.  I would wear them to work, and pack my dress shoes in my bag, then change when I got there.  It was annoying to change, but my feet were warm and dry outside, and stylish inside, so it worked.  :o)  The boots are cute, but still weren't work-appropriate, so leaving them on all day wasn't an option (not sure if I would regardless.....my feet would have been all sweaty).
