What are you looking forward to this weekend?
Happy Friday! Congratulations, you made it through another week.
What's going on this weekend?
I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns
Re: What are you looking forward to this weekend?
I AWed on ML, but I'll share the love:
This guy has his first Christmas program (which I have to miss-- sad face) but MIL is videoing it so we can watch it!
(In the picture he's being meemaw's elf and decorating her house before she came home from a trip)
It's Friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiday!!!!!!! Woo woo.
We don't really have any plans.
He's so cute!
Tomorrow I don't have anything to do in the day, so I'm looking forward to finishing David Copperfield and watching Gilmore girls.
Then tomorrow night, we're doing our annual Christmas tree expedition with our friends. Then dinner and then going to see The Muppet Movie. I am literally dancing in my seat about seeing this movie.
Sunday, I'm thinking of calling out sick (I was out yesterday and diagnosed with a sinus infection and don't feel well) of the retreat reunion I'm supposed to go to... so I can have yet another reading/Gilmore girls day.

That is adorable. Both the picture and the name "meemaw". Your kid's a cutie!
This weekend my H and I are taking a trip out to a local huge botanical garden where he proposed to me last year. He doesn't like the place much but suggested going out there again because he's all about rituals, which is good with me because I love their Christmas displays.
Also, I'm probably making Christmas cookies for all 4 of the families I plan on giving them to and finishing my shopping. 2 items to go... so lazy...
awww! Huber, you should share more pictures! He's a cutie.
I feel like I just had my weekend, after my (AWing to commence now) spa day yesterday and then I went out for dessert and wine with a friend.
Tonight we are hanging out with a friend in town from Hawaii. This means I will probably get drunk. That's all I got. Football season is over.
Huber, your little elf is so cute!
This weekend we're power shopping. ::Does some jumping jacks to warm up:: I bought BF's big gift last night - he's getting an electric guitar. He used to have one but it was stolen a few months before we started dating.
Other than shopping, we plan to do some cleaning/organizing. And lots of sexytime before AF shows up next week.
We're going to a festivus party Saturday - no bagel!
And Sunday, MIL is coming back from a 3 month cruise around the Pacific. We're really excited to see her!
I think that you will love it. It is so fun!
You are such a good little planner!
Woot woot for Friday! Very jealous of the spa day, wish I had that coming up :-) I'm not feeling great so I'm not entirely sure what we'll do tonight. I really need to do some Christmas shopping. I was so much ahead of where I've ever been before Thanksgiving and then it just kind of stopped. Tomorrow I get to see my niece. Might be seeing the Muppets on Sunday.
We have been so lazy lately and while I know we need it (we've been on the go constantly for months) but part of me gets worried about us getting lazy. That has happened in the past when I was depressed and with XH.
So, pretty much the usual - I will be over analyzing everything this weekend!
I have been up H's azz about seeing this movie. We knew we were doing the Christmas tree shopping excursion (traditionally we usually go with our friends the weekend after Thanksgiving... but I was doing my retreat last weekend so we had to push it off) this weekend but I kept pushing to go to see The Muppet Movie too. Last night I was like "so... we're going to get the tree Saturday, right?"... "yep"... "And we're going to see The Muppet Movie (said in a sly voice". "yeeeeeees"
I AM SO EXCITED!

You will love the muppet movie, imoan. You, too, crabby.
It's so fun. It will put you in a good mood, even if you are sitting next to your MIL or someone that you just don't care for at all. (Not that I have any experience with this, a-hem!) You will be dancing and humming when you come out of the theatre. Good times.
Tonight is a surprise 30th birthday party for my landlady's daughter which should be fun. She thinks everyone is too busy/forgot so its going to surprise the heck out of her.
I neeeeeed to work on some of the presents I'm making for people this weekend. I'm really excited to do them too, it should be fun and creative. Let's get crafty!
Sunday is church and that night is our church Christmas program with stupid silly skits and I'm in one that is going to be pretty funny so I can't wait to see how that turns out. I also need to bake some dessert for that... I want to do marshmallow nutella pockets but I'm going to be pressed for time so I might just make some cookies.
PS: Huber your little dude is too cute. I call my BFF's mom "meemaw"
Nothing.
It's going to be nothing but cleaning and buying crap for Christmas. The only people I have left to shop for are DINKs or SINKs with no specific interests so they're impossible every year.
YAY! I am finally moving out of this weird Scroogey phase and into Christmas mode.
Tonight, stay home date night - we have a Netflix movie and I think I'll make linguine with white clam sauce, followed by some epic sexytime if I have anything to say about it.
Tomorrow we are doing some shopping downtown then going to cut down our tree.
Sunday, we have some friends coming over - we've instituted "Sunday dinners" in our circle of friends, so we take turns hosting every few weeks and making homey dinners, since almost nobody has family up here. I'm thinking roast pork with potatoes and carrots. And a bigass mesclun salad because I got a POUND of mesclun in the CSA this week.
This is the first weekend since October 14 that we will not only be home but also will not have house guests!
We are going to Paris for the weekend. My life seriously does not suck.
This party comes complete with the festivus pole and feats of strength.
I kicked a 250 pound man's ass the first year
All week I looked forward to today - I took Friday off to use up my last vacation day (we lose them if we don't use them) - so I am at Starbucks with a holiday cup, editing a short story for a friend, and will be finishing up my Christmas shopping and mailing some cards/gifts later!
Tomorrow and Sunday, no real plans. I'll clean and do laundry and grocery shop at some point.
Mr. Bang has the little dude tonight, which is unusual, so I think we might go over and help his parents set up their tree.
Love it. My H and his family threaten feats of strength every year.
In spirit of the Outlander series that I'm finally reading, I'm considering proposing a caber toss this year.
Nice!
Please take pictures.
