So yesterday we had dinner at my parents and Bryn says to Grandma, "Grandma, did you get my e-mail today? Did you get the stuff for my brother and I? We're going to need to order it soon since I need it for The Polar Express Christmas play next week."
Grandma: "I did get your e-mail. I saw what you wanted, but didn't think I could get it here in time. Do you really want suspenders?"
Bryn: "Shhh, Grandma, it's TOP SECRET. Yes, I want the straps too...just like in the clover holiday parade."
Me and DH: "What are you guys talking about?"
Bryn: "Don't tell, Grandma, it's TOP SECRET for just you and me and Mrs. S [his teacher.]"
So after dinner my mom pulls me aside and shows me an e-mail from the classroom teacher to my mom (the PE teacher in my son's building). It says...
"Mrs. [Grandma],
Bryn was talking about wearing a special outfit for the Christmas play and wanted me to send you this e-mail. I couldn't figure out what he wanted until I searched the internet and found some pictures for him. He is so cute...I typed his message to you word for word. ![]()

Grandma,
I need a boy's skirt with those straps just like this one Mrs. S found a picture of (http://www.sportkilt.com/product/6371/Black-Watch.html). I need it before our Christmas play next week, but keep it TOP SECRET from my mom and dad. Oh and could you please get one for Micah too - size 3T, I am size 5T. Please, please, we need it so fast.
Love, Bryn"
That kid just cracks me up...nobody in my family is Scottish/Irish and wears a kilt, but I guess that's what I get for naming him a Welsh/Scottish name, right?!
Are you united with the CCOKCs?
