I was just curious - does your husband know what specialty he wants to go into? If this is too personal/revealing just ignore me!

    not too personal :)  he wants to go into family medicine.  It's really important to him to work with under-served populations and do international medical trips.  I can't say many medical students/Drs are in it for the right reasons (even some of them that I've met and like), but I love H because he's going to be a really good Dr (has already gotten awesome feedback) and he actually cares about people.

    That makes me so happy! There is such a shortage of people going into general medicine. His goals sound awesome, we need more like him. The doctors I work for do a ton of international trips - some 2 in a year. I would love to go along sometime.
