Crack dip and crockpot question for tomorrow

I'm making crack dip for the cookie GTG. I was thinking of making it in the crockpot so that I can plug it in when I get there to keep it hot. My recipe says to bake it at 350 for 30 minutes. So, do you think I should put the crockpot on low for 2 hours before I come? I don't really know baking to crockpot conversions. Is that too much time? Not enough?

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Re: Crack dip and crockpot question for tomorrow

  • Is there anything raw in your recipe that really needs to cook? What I usually do is mix and melt it all up on a pan in the stove and then put it in the crock pot and plug in when needed.

that's what I have done in the past, worked fine.

  • What they said above, but while I'm cooking I heat up the crock pot putting just water in it (dumping it out before refilling of course). That way the pot is all toasty and keeps the dip warmer during transit.

  • Thanks ladies!

(And no, there's nothing raw in it so there's nothing that actually has to cook)

    See you tomorrow!
