Angel Tree or other DM area organization?
I planned picking up an angel from an angel tree or another child through another organization but I am not familiar with where to look. Any recommendations? Thanks!
Re: Angel Tree or other DM area organization?
This is a little different, but I contacted Children and Families of Iowa and got hooked up with a little baby to shop for.
It might be getting a little late, I think they want all the gifts by Monday the 12th. My contact was Kara you can email her at karas@cfiowa.org...it might be worth a shot.
My church (lutheran church of hope) is collecting toys for tots through this Sunday. You can just drop them off right inside the door and they really need things for babies or teens.
You can do shoes that fit -shoesthatfit.org and donate coats, socks, etc for kids. They have cards with the kids' needs and sizes at various locations (there is one at our Y). You can also donate online, there is information on their website.
I adopted a family through Bidwell Riverside Mission (also through our church) but I've called in the past when I've been late and they have hooked me up with family information. Here is a link to some more information.
I hope that helps....so happy you are helping others!

Does Jordan Creek do something like this too? Where they have need cards on their tree? I was hoping to fill a small gift for someone...$20-$50ish.
I'll have to look at the jcp thing too!
I highly suggest Shoes That Fit as an option. It matches kids with clothing needs (coats, pants, shoes, etc) and it varies in all age groups. I work closely with this program and can mail "want cards" for anyone who is interested.
Whatever option you choose, bless you for doing this during the holiday season
So many families in need!!
