I can't decide whether to laugh, :headdesk:, or feel sorry for this one.
CN: A rather wealthy investment banker went on one date with a girl. She described it as horrific. He continuously called/texted her and she never responded. He then sent her a very lengthy e-mail as to why she was rude/immature for "leading him on" and listed how she led him on. Then he argued about them going on a second date because they "have so much in common" and listed all the things they have in common. He then turned it around and made it sound like he's doing her a favor by giving HER a second chance after she treated him like this.
My favorite quote from the e-mail was "People don?t grow on trees. I hope you appreciate the potential we have." Well geez, I better have another chat with my mom. That's not what she told me.....
I just get the impression that he thinks that just because he's rich (he points that out in the email too) she should automatically want to go out with him. It's almost like being a reverse gold-digger. I don't get why you'd want someone to like you for your money and not your personality.

I think it's to explain why he's so methodical with his reasoning? Not sure.

Maybe because he wrote this in his letter--
Perhaps, you're unimpressed that I manage my family?s investments and my own investments. Perhaps, you don?t think I have a "real" job. Well, I?ve done very well as an investment manager. I've made my parents several millions of dollars.
That's real money. That's not monopoly money. In my opinion, if I make real money, it's a real job. Donald Trump's children work for his company. Do they have "real" jobs? I think so. George Soros's sons help manage their family investments. Do they have "real" jobs? I think so.
--and it's a little ambiguous without the article specifying that he is, in fact, and investment banker?
Personally, if I came across this jumbled stream-of-conciousness without reading the article's introduction, I'd assume that the overly defensive tone means that he what he really does is screw around on a computer in his rich parents' basement and play the auction house on WoW.
Maybe she insulted his job at some point during the date and he is defensive about it?
I think the letter itself is bad enough. I think the fact that he is a banker is besides the point.

I dont think there is any"maybe" in that. I pretty sure its a fact. And explains why girls dont want to date him.

Yeah, I think it was trying to point out that this dude is in charge of tons of money and he's obviously got major issues. If he was, say, a middle-management dude at an insurance company or a garbage man nobody would care.
Well he bragged about his wealth and his job in the email like it was something that could make a woman go, hey wait a minute even though this guy is a douchecanoe he's ~*~rich~*~*~ so therefore I should date him. But even if you get rid of all that stuff he's still a douche who wrote a huge email to someone he only went out with once, which is clearly not normal behavior.
