Gift you're most excited about giving?
What's the gift you're most excited to give this season? Something you know that the recipient will be super excited/surprised about?
Re: Gift you're most excited about giving?
We got my Mom new pots and pans. She will be excited.
Avery has been asking for this certain doll for months. I am ready to see her face when she gets it.
I ordered the cutest little plush bird ornament from etsy for Helen's first Christmas ornament. It is pink, and so sweet, and says her name and 2011. I teared up when the seller sent me the pic yesterday. Helen won't be excited about it... but it means a lot to me.
I'm excited about her other gifts too.... so much so that I haven't really thought about what to get ANYONE else...
Feeling very much behind this year!
I got my sister a (beginner) sewing machine for her bday/xmas. She already got it since her bday was in November, but she was really excited about it. I made her bring it down for Thanksgiving, and we made some curtains and throw pillows for the baby room! It's something that she has always been thinking about wanting, but never getting around to getting. So, I think she was really shocked, but happy when I suggested it (I did ask her first before I bought it, just in case she didn't really want it anymore).
I want to get the ILs a microwave this year, but they are a little pricier than I thought(I forgot how teeny tiny the $80 dorm microwaves are!) You can't even see the numbers on theirs anymore, but it still works, so I think they just keep using it! I'll talk to DH and see if we can find something reasonable. We might be able to bundle it with his dad's bday, since that is in December. We'll see.
I got a nice one at Costco for ~80.
Hmm..might need to check that out!

I have a few.
One is the Barbie Power Wheels Jeep that Santa is bringing Charlotte. She's been asking for a PW car, and I found this one on Craigslist for $40, so I'm of course stoked that it was such a bargain.
The other are the two silhouettes of Charlotte I had done by The Silhouette Man when he was at Memorial City Mall a few weeks ago. I had one done for DH and one for my mom. I especially cannot wait to give it to my mom; she is going to love it.
I'm also going to have Charlotte paint her own masterpieces on canvas with acrylic paint for DH, my mom, and ILs. I think they're all going to love them.
Kris - she really will. I told Joel on Saturday when we went that my heart was beating hard - I was actually excited. I can vicariously re-live my childhood, right?
The place is beautiful and it really is neat how they get more 1-1 attention by the princesses than when you stand in line forever to get their autograph (it took an hour and a half to get Rapunzel's autograph - on TUESDAY when it was dead... sigh, we wore M's rapunzel dress on Saturday when ABC family was filming there and Bieber tweeted he was there so it was utter madness. The monorail broke down that day too. Grrr. The saving grace of the whole day was Cinderella's Table - brought back all the magic to a day that started off so rough.

I came up with two great gifts for DH--a new pair of his favorite sneakers (you can't find his size here), and a new GPS, because his current one bites.
Also this brownie pan for my sister. It makes it so that you have more chewy corner pieces, which is her favorite part of a pan of brownies (and mine too--don't think we won't be utilizing this while I'm still there).

Probably C's "big truck" from Santa. I told him weeks ago that if he was good, Santa would bring a big big truck. He loves 18 Wheeler trucks, so I am hoping he'll like this one.
Oh - we bought SB an animal trap and night vision goggles. The goggles are for his birthday, but it is only 2 weeks later and he will be fired up.
We bought 5 Nintendo DS3D game systems and 10 games and donated them to DePelchin Children's Center. Obviously, we won't see the looks on the kids faces when they get them, but I'm about 99% confident that they will be super excited. The workers were giddy when we dropped them off.
