All I can say is I hope she is on BC and that they talk about this before she goes off and gets an IUD without telling him.
Re: Oh boy this could get interesting... LIP
I'd get an IUD in her shoes too. Her husband raped her. She didn't consent to what he did in her vagina.
Look at me, being all pro-choice.
I can see getting the IUD, honestly. But really they should talk about all this first, before she makes her final decision.
He gives her the silent treatment and rapes her. She should get the IUD to prevent being stuck with him by means of procreation, but this is one of those times when I love that people have divorce as an option. That man has no respect for her. For me, there would be no conversation, save the one he could have with my attorney, if in fact that wasn't mud.
I couldn't have said it better myself, Ojo. I really, REALLY don't understand why so many posters are insisting that she should have a conversation with him about this issue. Counseling I agree with if she thinks there's something redeemable or teachable in him, but no way should she let him have a say in her decision about birth control. It's not like an IUD is permanent, and I wouldn't trust a douchebag like him not to mess with any other method of BC.

I normally would be against making reproductive decisions without consulting one's spouse, but in this case, I agree with Ojo. Her husband has violated her with the intention of using her body to procreate against her wishes.
I completely agree with the above posts.
The more I am thinking about it the more what you all have pointed out makes sense.
I hope she got a Plan-B in the appropriate time frame :-(
Amen.
