Friday!

What's everyone up to this weekend?!

Re: Friday!

  • Today/Tonight: Hanging out with Sawyer, running a couple of errands, picking Evie up from daycare then family shopping at Kohls to do some more Christmas shopping.

Tomorrow: This is my first day alone with both kids, a little nervous about this. We are most likely going to stay home, do some cleaning and laundry. When daddy gets home, we will most likely spend the night in.

Sunday: Attempt to take the kids Christmas card picture then going up to my mom's for my birthday dinner since going out last Saturday/Sunday was out of the question. ?

  • Today- working from home (like I have been for the past month). So grateful to not have to go into the office as I'm pretty uncomfortable now. Still ready to be done with work though! Tonight- relaxing with DH. Catching up on some DVR'd TV (Can't wait to see the season finale of Sons of Anarchy!!!!!)

Tomorrow/Sunday- Cleaning the house/chores. Finishing Christmas shopping, wrapping gifts, getting our tree put up. Dubbing around the house. DH and I are going out tomorrow night and drive around and look at Christmas lights! I'm trying not to plan too much at this point and just trying to relax for the most part.

  • FYI: I found SOA to be a little emotional this week due to the messed up hormones, you might want to make sure you have tissues with you. I can't wait for next season!?

Thanks for the heads up! I hope nothing happens to Tara!! Eeek!!

  • I am working from home today too.  I just cannot get done what needs to get done when I am in the office. So I decided this morning to plop myself of the couch and check a bunch of things off my to-do list for work.

Tonight- We usually go out to dinner on Friday. So most likely that is what we'll be doing.  Depends on DH he's working up in Kingsfield today so he may be grumpy.

Saturday- Getting our christmas tree.  Finishing the last project for the baby's room.  Enjoying what could be the last weekend without an baby (who knows?!?!)

Sunday- Playing it by ear- maybe going to lunch with some lovely ladies.  Making some freezer meals for sure and who knows what else.

  • Tonight we're going to see the new New Year's Eve movie.  I'm totally pumped.  I hope it's super-cheesy.

Tomorrow probably just cleaning/errands, then Magic of Christmas in the evening (!).

Sunday, cleaning/errands we don't get done tomorrow plus lunch with the gals at Buck's.  Josh has to work a shift at the store Sunday afternoon, so I'm hopeful that I can get a bunch of stuff done while he's there.

  • Today I am leaving work early to go to the doctors to have my nagging cough checked out. Later tonight we are going to look at Christmas lights, particularly one house that they totally deck out and sync to music.

Tomorrow we are going to Sesame Street Live then out to lunch. Hopefully getting our Christmas tree in the afternoon depending what time we get home and how Eli's nap works out. Maybe checking out a holiday fesitival thing in Saco in the evening.

Sunday we're going to a brunch with Santa, then having friends visit in the afternoon. Will finally get a tree if we don't on Saturday.

  • Tonight DH is working late, so I'm going to go to the gym for the first time in a long, long time. Then I'll be editing like a crazy lady and wrapping up another wedding editing session. One more to go, which I'll get done this weekend, and then I'm done until April. Woot!

Tomorrow the highlight will be going with my girlfriend to pick up her new rescue pup in New Hampshire. She's rediculously excited, so the entire trip will be talking about the pup. Should be an interesting trip! Other than that, I'll be editing.

Sunday I'll be editing all day again and hopefully making it to the GTG if my DH is done changing my brakes in time.

  • Hi Ladies! This afternoon, our daughters are making their "stage debut" for their Nutcracker performance! Today is the dress rehearsal and tomorrow is the actual show. After the show tomorrow, we're having their 5th birthday party(YIKES! Their birthday is actually Dec. 20, but since family will all be here for the Nutcracker we decided to have their party directly after). Then, Sunday I guess it's about time to start decorating for Christmas. MAN-I'm late this year!

    Have a great weekend!

  • We're both working from home today, so Matt and I went out for lunch, yay!  Tonight we will go to Costco and then watch tv.  Lame, I know.  But our Costco is the 2nd busiest in the nation and I've learned the hard way that Friday or Saturday nights from 8:00-9:00 is the best time to go.

Tomorrow I need to get groceries and pay bills, track our expenses, etc.  Then for the rest of the weekend I can bake Christmas cookies and watch Christmas movies, yay!  We also have a Cookiethon party to attend tomorrow night.

  • Tonight: Getting our Christmas tree after DH gets home from work.  Then we're going to try Figa for dinner - we bought the Living Social deal a while back, so we've just been waiting for the right time to go...I'm excited!

Tomorrow: This is terrible of me, but I'm hoping beyond hope that I don't have to work tomorrow.  I generally work every Saturday and Sunday from Nov-April because that is when we are actually busy this time of year.  Well, we originally had this weekend held for a special event, which was canceled and we still haven't filled rooms for tonight, so if no reservations come in, I have tomorrow off.  My fingers are seriously crossed...the last time DH and I had a day off together was in October.

Definitely decorating the tree and the rest of the house at some point and possibly heading up to see friends for a get-together in the evening.

    Sunday: Working.

  • Wow, Friday already??? It's been our first houseguest free week in a while and I'm loving it!

Today/Tonight: We had our playgroup's holiday party this AM, and Will is still wiped from seeing all the "big kids", so I'm trying to get some stuff done around the house while he's relaxing. Ky just informed me that tonight is the Coast Guard's Holiday Masquerade Ball in New Orleans, and while I'd LOVE to go, it was a little too short notice and I don't even know if I have anything appropriate in my wardrobe to wear that would fit at this point (what up nursing boobs!). So instead I think we'll make some pizzas, have a little wine and maybe play some cribbage.

Tomorrow: DH refuses to get a Christmas tree since we're flying home for two weeks on the 20th, but he's conceded to getting some garland so I can hang it around our double doorway and decorate it, so we're off to pick some up. General house cleaning & organizing to follow.

Sunday: We've started a new tradition of going down into New Orleans on Sundays so explore, and I think this time we'll be going back through the Garden District and Magazine Street. Hopefully we can find some cool houses to scope out and grab brunch somewhere.

    Have a great weekend, girls!

  • Tonight: DH brought home take out and I rented The Help. I'm hoping I can stay awake to watch it but I'm exhausted from my first full week of teaching and we were short staffed most days.

Tomorrow: A few things around the house. We are one step closer to having a completed kitchen and need to paint the baseboard trim so that can be put in place. Grocery shopping and some cooking. Tomorrow some of the alum from my sorority are getting together for a potluck so I'll be driving to New Gloucester tomorrow night.

Sunday: Finishing up our Christmas shopping and getting everything wrapped. I also want to get some parts cut and started for baby H's quilt so I have something to work on during our holiday travels.

  • Today - Had a playdate with my SIL and her daughter. Savannah and her cousin played while we got some adult time!!

Saturday - Hoping MH puts up the outside Christmas lights. We need to go grocery shopping.

Sunday - Same old thing. Hanging at home, playing with the baby and watching football.

    Have a great weekend everyone!!

  • Tonight: Nuthin'  I was going to make shrimp scampi, but I think I'd rather get subs and try to watch The Informant! from Netflix and go to bed early.

Tomorrow: There's a volunteer photographer event at daycare tomorrow, so we're getting a family portrait in the morning. I have some chores in the afternoon (laundry & burning some CDs) and then our bellydance event in the evening. I've got to be over there at 5 with hair and makeup done and the show it 7-9.

Sunday: Lunch with the ladies- woohoo! Otherwise maybe doing Xmas shopping for DH's family and putting some exterior lights up on the bushes since DH said he doesn't want to. Oh, and maybe some Xmas crafts with James.

I have to fit grocery shopping in there somewhere too.

  • OMG!  This is first time today I've had a chance to chill out.

Tonight after work, I picked up Taylor and did some quick groceries for baking.  Came home and had pizza for dinner, cleaned up while Taylor played in a box (from a package we got this week) and then put her to bed.  Did some more cleaning and now I'm just hanging around.

Tomorrow a few ladies are coming over for a cookie swap.  Some of them are from work and a few others are from HS etc.  I'll be baking in the morning and I need to finish cleaning.  Not sure how long they will stay but I think after we might watch some Christmas cartoons.  And the new treadmill gets delivered tomorrow!

Sunday I'll be getting groceries, using the treadmill and probably folding laundry.  So fun! lol

  • Last night we did dinner at Scarlet Begonia's with the Nana's, and they happened to be having a little holiday celebration going on at the train station there.  We saw Santa, went for a carriage ride, and got a cookie.  Then my mom and I went to Portland to see Chris' band, GinLab, at Slainte.  They played a great set, and we had delicious ginger martinis.

We'll go get our tree this morning pre-nap and then decorate post-nap.  I just remembered I have a turkey in the fridge I meant to cook today, so I've got to figure that out...I don't even have a roasting pan.  Poor planning!

Tomorrow lunch at Buck's and then Marcus has a date with Chris' parents to go check out the holiday stuff in Freeport after his nap, and we'll have some quiet time and maybe dinner out.
