My dad worked with sheet metal for years at his job. He made me a cross out of sheet metal (and shined it all up) and put it on a little chain for me. I love it.
When DH and I were dating, my dad made DH a Chevy bowtie for DH's mirror. But after we got married, DH bought a Nissan truck, so the bowtie is sitting in a drawer. He's also made a few Mustang horse symbols (my mom has had 2 Mustangs and my uncle has had a lot of mustangs.) It was so detailed, it looked like it would be a pain in the butt to make! It pretty much looked like this, except made out of sheet metal.
