Furniture stains/finishes
Do you think that really dark espresso finish is on its way out? DH and I were talking about this today. Seems that has been the trend of the past decade, but I'm wondering about its staying power. Thoughts?
Personally, I think I'm growing tired of the super dark stains and finishes (the almost black ones).
Re: Furniture stains/finishes
I think some people will always like it, whether it's the popular color at the moment or not.
Personally, I've always loved the light honey-colored finishes.
I am the polar opposite of this
I think we're going to see some of the light, natural wood with clean lines make a comeback as part of the more modern trend.
I like "dark" wood, but not that almost black look. I don't like certain stains once they get past a certain level of red in them.
The majority of the furniture in our house is espresso. I just don't care much for honey colored woods and DH would absolutely veto a lighter colored wood.
