Can I find something in a craft store to fix this?
My son's chair from Land of Nod (link below) was mistaken for a litter box by my cat. Gross, right? The cover washed well and I was able to get the smell out, but the foam insert, not so much. I called Lan od Nod, and a replacement foam insert for the chair is $60. I'm thinking that anyone clever at all with craft projects (I am not) could probably figure out how to make an insert for a fraction of that cost. But I'm seriously bad at this stuff. So I thought I would come here for advice. What would you do? Do you think I can make something to fit inside? What materials would you use? Thanks so much for any help!

You should be able to buy foam at your local JoAnn/Michaels/etc. Measure how thick the foam is, as well as the length and width. Tell a sales person what you're looking for. They should show you where it is, then you'll need to take it to the cutting counter and they will cut it to the proper length. You will need to cut it to the correct width at home (although if you ask at the cutting counter, they might do it for you, but you'd still have to pay for the entire width, not just what you use). It may be helpful to print out a picture of the chair and show the person at the craft store. They're usually willing to give advice with whatever project, but it helps if you go during slow times (i.e. not Saturday afternoon).
Foam is expensive at craft stores, too, but it shouldn't cost you $60 to replace that. I would guess than $30.
