Can I play the IL/Xmas vent game too?
Well, for me I guess it's an X-IL vent.
Every single occasion she buys the same gifts that I do for my kids. It is SO irritating! This year she was even with me when I bought DS a tricycle. Then she tells XH that she's buying him one for Christmas.
Last year for DS's birthday I said I was getting the kids stock in Disney. What does she tell XH she's buying them? Yep. Disney stock.
The year before that, I bought DD a step stool so she could get into my bed easier and she went out a bought her one a day later.
Really? Can she not come up with her own ideas on what to get my kids??? And the best part is that XH defends her each.and.every.time. Of course that would be part of why they are Xs.

I would totally be telling her the most extravagant gifts I can think of. . . "why, yes, I DID buy DD gold earrings for Christmas, why?" "Oh, I just picked up a new flat screen for DS for Christmas this year - it's too hard to play the wii on the old TV." But I'm kinda biitchy like that:)
