Signing the birth certificate?
So DH's deployment just got pushed up and now he won't be there for the birth. I am just wondering if he would just sign her birth certificate when he gets back or is there another option?
For those of you whose DH couldn't be there for the birth what did you do?

Re: Signing the birth certificate?
Hmm... weird, I have always seen a place for the father... and thanks, I'm hoping that the date gets moved again so he can be there (but I'm not holding my breath).

Thanks, I just got off the phone with the hospital I would deliver at. They told me there was no place for the father to sign either.
No, I'm from Lafayette (so 45mins north of Indy, where Purdue is). We are currently stationed out here in NC but if DH leaves as early as they say they are, I'm coming home to have the baby.
Bleh Hossiers. I'm a Purdue Grad. Although, I hear the Hoosiers did play a great game tonight. Yes, the drive home is a biotch.
I actually took the toll way through WV. Hmm... I think I'm going home to visit in Feb. I might have to take that way! I almost got killed by a deer crossing the highway in WV..... so bypassing WV would be nice haha!
