we've been discussing sleeping arrangements and it seems that the simplest might be to get a room w/ 2 queen size beds and have DS and DH sleep in one and DD and me in the other. any ideas on the best way to make sure she doesn't roll out? she won't be terribly mobile yet, but still. at home the arm's reach co-sleeper works kind of like a bed rail to keep her in when she sleeps with us. Maybe with just the 2 of us in the bed it's silly to even worry about it because there's so much space?
some other options:
-take the PnP from home (put DS in bed w/ one of us and DD in the PnP)
-take the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper from home (put DS in bed w/ one of us and DD in the Arm's Reach)
-take a travel cot for DS and put DD in a king sized bed with both of us (requires buying a travel cot)
-trust whatever hotel crib they have (put DS in bed w/ one of us, or perhaps take a toddler travel cot)
-go with the arrangement above (1 kid in each bed) and buy something along the lines of a snuggle nest for DD

Re: another travel question
I would either get 2 queens with you and DD in one and your H and DS in the other. You can ask for a couple of extra towels. Roll them up and put them under the fitted sheet. They'll provide a little bumper so she can't just roll out of bed, they're free, and you don't have to pack them. That's what I used to do.
The other option I see is to get a room with 1 king for you, DS, and H. Then you can have DD in either the PnP or co-sleeper. I'd go with whatever you think will work better.
I think it might be hard to get DS to sleep on a travel cot when you all are in a bed, kwim? Plus, he might like being closer to you since you'll be in an unfamiliar place. I don't trust hotel cribs at all. Those things freak me out.
I'm not sure where in Mexico you're going (sorry, I don't remember!), but do you have access to a Wal-Mart? I would get a couple of pool noodles and stick them under the fitted sheet. Creates a "bumper" of sorts, so you can be on one side and the bumper on the other. We do something similar now with foam Magic Bumpers.

Cancun, so yes on the Walmart

Then that's absolutely what I'd do. Hit Walmart, spend $5 on pool noodles and make the bumpers. The pressure from the fitted sheet holds them in place perfectly, and they work like a charm. And it's one less thing to carry and you can just leave them when you come home.

I would just co-sleep with them in 2 beds. The towel solution sounds brilliant!
