Re: aw: almost done!

  • Pretty well, I am almost done. I need to find a laptop for DH though. Also looking for 2 gifts under ~ $75 for people that love to cook. Any ideas?

  • I haven't even started yet. Sigh...I can only do it next weekend, so I have to do it all then.

  • Yeah....I haven't bought a single gift yet.  I just haven't had any time, and it doesn't help that no one has given me any ideas of things they may like.

  • therickson - for the foodies, consider making bundled baskets of stuff. Ideas - Risotto basket: recipe, bags of arborio rice, wine, plus wooden spoon (personally, I don't know who couldn't always use another one) or some nice towels. Depending on the recipe, you could include the non-fresh ingredients (we have one we like that is garnished with pistachios and a hard cheese like parmesan). You could go have some fun at the Oil & Vinegar store in Bellevue Square. Rather than getting lots of gadgets they may have or don't need, I would go towards recipes and quality/fun ingredients.

I'm about half way done with all of my shopping.

  • Oh man, I haven't even started, which is really weird for me.  I'm the person who usually shops all year and forgets what I've gotten everyone by the time Christmas rolls around, so it ends up being a surprise to both of us haha.

I also have a ton of birthday stuff to figure out because like half my family was born on Christmas or within a few days of it.  So basically I'm going to be hitting the stores next Wednesday because it's the only day I have off from now until the big day - yikes! Luckily we just decided that we're doing Christmas with my mom and the family down south part way through January, so I can procrastinate on their gifts until the after-Christmas sales :D
