X Factor 12/8 Spoiler

This is exactly why I don't agree with them allowing children this young to participate in such a huge competition.  They have a much harder time accepting the disappointment. It broke my heart when she started screaming and bawling.  I loved that little cutie pie and I think Chris Rene should have gone home before her.

I also think Nicole is the biggest drama queen next to Paula.  You sign up to be a judge, you send people home.  If you can't do it, don't do the show.  Simple as that.

I said the same thing to DH about both of these statements.  That poor girl!  It was really really sad.  I was indifferent to which of them left (although she was AMAZING tonight and deserved to stay based on that performance just as Marcus was given that last week) but that was so difficult to watch.

And Nicole- OMG. I am speechless. She and Paula really don't do their jobs very well at all. Surprise

  • Based on the 'save me song' alone, Rachel was WAY better. I';m really surprised they let that happen considering Marcus was always in the bottom.

And poor Rachel - I never thought she'd win, but that was heartbreaking.

  • I really thought Marcus should have gone home.  He's just meh IMO.  I don't feel too badly about Rachel though because she is adorable and will most likely have a career because of this show.  I can see the Disney Channel picking her up.

  • I am irrationally annoyed by the show tonight. I agree this is why kids 13 are too young, she is a child. Nicole is a fool, and is the worst judge. They should have kept Cheryl Cole. How could she stand there sobbing with Paula comforting her? Ridiculous.

Lurker here... this is exactly what came to mind thinking about what career she could take off on.  She will still be famous.

  • Also a lurker here...so annoyed that Nicole did not step up and make a decision.   I bet she regrets it and thought America would have been the one to send Marcus home, especially since he has been in the bottom two for three weeks in a row.  Send him home already and stop saving him.  Sheesh!  I wonder if Simon will sign Rachel on since he said on "his word" this will not be the last of Rachel.  Completely agree that Chris Rene should have gone home.

  • I am so annoyed with this show tonight.  Nicole should have made a decision, I mean that's what judges do.  Rachel will still be a star though.

I also disagree with the pp who said Chris Rene should have gone home.  He was better than both Marcus and Rachel last night, so to me, he earned his spot.  You can argue that he isn't better overall, but last night he was better.

Ew, I don't think so at all. I don't think he is good, he is not a great singer, I totally think it is time for him to go.

Another person who thinks Chris Rene wasn't better  - he's very likeable, but certainly not any better vocally. What is cool about Chris Rene is that he can write his own stuff (although, Astro's own stuff was consistently better than Chris)

Its pretty much blowing up on Twitter this morning that Marcus should have gone home. I mean, what were the judges thinking when he's always in the bottom? I'm guessing Nicole thought Marcus had the lowest # of votes.

I do agree the song writing is a talent, but this show isn't about writing songs, it is about singing, and I just don't think he is a very good singer!

Nicole was so ridiculous last night. She should have voted, and I am so glad she was booed by the audience.

  • It's not that I don't like Chris, because I do.  But I honestly like Marcus better.  And I think Rachel should've outlasted both of them.  However I am standing by my prediction that the final 2 will be Melanie and Josh.

I heard on the radio this morning Rachel's parting speech.  I didn't see that last night because it tore me up to see her in such a state and I turned the DVR off.  But after hearing it on air this morning it sounded like she got her composure back and went out with a positive attitude.  I agree with the PP that said she will probably go on the Disney channel.

Nicole just flat out made an ass of herself last night.  I hope she catches a lot of crap for that by the media, too.

  • If only Nicole hadn't admitted that she was throwing her vote.....
  • As bad as i felt for Rachael, i was happy with the outcome. I really like Marcus and keep hoping he'll make it another week. I just want to know what Rachael's "promised her"

That was my exact thought when I was watching it - they shouldn't let kids that young compete. They just can't handle the possible rejection that comes with this type of competition. It was really hard to watch how upset she was. A lot of contestants cry when they got eliminated, but this was different, she fell down in complete hysterics. It broke my heart when her mom went up on stage and she was bawling and screaming "mommy"....which, if that right there doesn't show that they need to raise the age limit, I don't know what will.

The convo with her mom? LOL! My DH said that also. I guess I heard it wrong because I thought her mom said "it's gonna be ok" and then Rachel was saying "you promise me?" But I guess my brain just wanted it to make sense...DH insisted it was "You promised me!" like... she promised her she wouldn't be eliminated?? Hmm

I saw in an interview later that she said "you promise me?" not 'you promised me'. Regardless who knows, maybe her mom said she wouldn't get kicked off, she is 13 and probably believed it. who knows.

  • I took it as "You promise you aren't mad I was eliminated." She was comforting. Nicole backstage. I have no doubt she will be successful and get her own bathroom:)

  • I don't know... it's a rough business, so it may be better for her to get a real taste of it now.  I was not as moved as others, perhaps because of a lack of empathy. (kidding---more likely because it's a reality show for a five million dollar contract, and no one is owed just for being cute)

I'm glad someone else feels the same way.

I could take it a step further and say how I really feel, but I'll refrain for now.  lol
