Holy crap, you guys! I just met Jared Padalecki!!
well, it was a few hours ago, but omg!! we were at the fairmont hanging out with dh's family, and dh says, "hey, isn't that sam?!" and i'm like "what?" and he says, "jared padalecki from supernatural!" i looked over and he and his wife were going to the bar. we weren't really sure, so i went to the bar and asked for a glass of water to spy and see if it was him. it was! so i went back to our table and got a napkin and a pen, and got the nerve up to go ask for an autograph. i went up and said, "excuse me, are you jared padalecki?" he looked at me and said "yeah" and i asked for an autograph. he said sure, asked for my name, asked if we were staying there, introduced me to his wife (she was super nice, too!) and signed my napkin. 
i shook his hand, told him dh and i were huge fans of the show and thanked him. he was so nice. i have video and a picture of the autograph that i'll post tomorrow. so awesome!!
