What's everybody up to this weekend?
It got pretty cold here over the past couple of days, so I'm staying in today to clean the house and wrap some Christmas presents. I'm also going to do some p90x here in a bit. I've got slow cooker chicken tacos in the crockpot, and they're making my house smell so good! I can't wait to eat them!
Tomorrow I have to go Secret Santa shopping for work and, of course, watch the Packer game. Go Pack!
Re: Weekend plans?
Today is my mom's 50th birthday and my sisters and I are throwing her a party at my house. About 30+ people, very exciting :-)
Then tomorrow I have to make 6 dozen cookies for a cookie exchange on Monday night, and I hope to go shopping with my Aunt and cousin who flew in from Wisconsin for my mom's party!
I'm working on my dad's Christmas present right now. In my family (that is, dad's entire side of the family) we draw names so everyone only has to buy for one person. I got his name. He's super hard to shop for so I decided to make something instead - I'm doing a gift basket full of homemade treats. I just finished making salsa, and I'll also be making jam, caramel sauce, toffee, and maybe tortilla chips. I also crocheted a blanket recently that I'm going to tuck in there as well.
I have to do laundry at some point, but other than that I have no plans. Probably some light cleaning and otherwise just a bit of lazy time.

I love that you are making him treats. That is a great idea.
Yesterday was my last day of the term. I went out and shoot pool with a friend and stayed over at her house.
Today I went to a large outdoor craft market with the same friend and her dad. I got some people checked off my Christmas list. We just got back from lunch/dinner at a Mexican resturant. Tonight, I need to go running and clean the house.
Tomorrow, my parents are hosting a "thank you" party for everyone who helped out on the farm this summer/fall.
I spent the day with my sister - we worked on my Grandma's Christmas Calendar that we make for her every year and baked some Christmas cookies - it was fun to spend just the day with her as she left her little one in the care of her Grandma!
Tomorrow some friends are going to help me frost some of the cookies we made today and just relax because weekends are never long enough and I'm dreading the fact that busy season is around the corner for me!
This weekend extends to Tuesday for me! (Go ahead and call me names, I was called lots of naughty names at work already - and I work at a daycare lol)
We tried to go Christmas shopping yesterday but ended up only buying for us (we bought a Kindle Fire and decided to just give everyone cash instead of gifts). Then we visited with a friend of mine and helped plan the basics of her baby shower (it's not until June, so we're way ahead of schedule lol).
Today, my FIL came over to help us finish the guest room, and the men are hoping to be done in time to watch the Packer game (aka naptime for me).
Hubs took Monday off to stay home with me. He's going to clean our basement and help me move furniture back into the bedroom, I'm getting dishes and laundry done. Tuesday I'm relaxing and making Christmas cards and maybe decorating the house a little. Busy, busy, busy!
We had a pretty busy weekend. On Friday night we went to a party to celebrate the engagement of 2 close friends of ours (and we had played matchmaker with them, so it was extra exciting). On Saturday we had our first of 2 all day birthing classes. It was actually pretty fun. There were several other couples due around the same time as us, and I got about an hour long massage from H since they were showing the H's what might help us.
Then today we ran a bunch of errands, and picked up the paint for the nursery, and our Christmas tree. We spent the evening listening to Christmas music and decorating . And we had fondue for dinner while watching Survivor - our favorite special treat
