Dating websites: Difference between free and pay sites?
I've done POF and now I'm on okcupid. I'm not meeting very quality guys, for the most part. Some of the messages I get, well, they are just plain bad, and the dates, even worse. I'm thinking of joining Match after the holidays. Right now I'm on a dating hiatus because I couldn't stand the thought of going on any more bad dates. Do the guys on Match tend to be more quality then some of these dudes? I really am over this whole thing LOL.
Re: Dating websites: Difference between free and pay sites?
Yes, I think there is a difference, but in the same breath, I have also communicated with some douchebags on the paid sites. The quality of the men on those sites varies greatly with geography. In some areas/cities, the free ones are just as good but in others they're not. POF isn't big where I live but Match is great.
I really think it depends where you live and a lot of it is trial and error. Before paying, I'd sign up as a free member on Match--they will often email you with free weekends or trial subscriptions to see if you like it.
