Re: Monday already??
Busy! Saturday we went to go see new builds in our area and it turns out we actually CAN afford them. If all the numbers go in correctly, and everything works out in the next few weeks, we'll be starting a build on our frist home!
The link to the plans are here....(this isn't the right area though) http://www.ryland.com/find-your-new-home/5-chicago/1160-lancaster-falls-landmark-series/18764-coventry.html
Saturday night we had a company party with the girls from my work and I got SOOO drunk. Like it was awful. I don't even know why I did and I honestly didn't have THAT much to drink. The girls will be making fun of me soo bad today.
Sunday I made 24 minnie mouse cupcakes for my friend Olivia's 2nd birthday. I was so hungover and wasn't very fun. On top of that of course the Bears lost yesterday. I can't expect them to win anymore.
My weekend was super busy but productive.
Friday night I went to see Christmas with the Rat Pack with my BFF. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
Saturday morning/early afternoon, I got my hair cut & colored, went to Target and BB&B. In the afternoon, I started getting my Chrismtas cards together to mail. Then that night we went to Dave & Busters for a friends birthday.
Sunday we went to church and breakfast. Then I spent the rest of the day working on Christmas stuff...wrapping, packaging, cards, etc. DH was a big help though, he labeled and sealed all the Christmas cards and got the packages ready for me to ship today.
I am finally starting to feel less stressed about the holidays now. I am almost done shopping and have about half the stuff wrapped.
My weekend was relaxing and I'm really sad it's over.
Friday night DH left to go to his mom's house for the weekend to celebrate her birthday and I stayed home. I started on sewing a needlepoint Christmas ornament and made chocolate chip cookies for my SS recipient.
Saturday I hit up the post office, which was a zoo, and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the employees were. Some POs just have horrible people working in them and I'm glad I didn't have to deal with that. I went by the grocery store to get stuff to make my H's favorite cookies and picked up "Water for Elephants" at a Redbox. Then I spent the rest of the day sewing and making said cookies.
Sunday I did laundry in the morning and watched "Water for Elephants" (really good by the way, in case you haven't seen it) and started my second needlepoint ornament. H finally came home around 4:30pm showed me all the cute baby clothes he got at some 2nd hand stores by his mom's house. He also went to the outlet mall and picked me up some new slippers and slip-on ice shoes so I don't bust my azz in the parking lot this winter while I try to waddle inside. Then we did our weekly grocery shopping and watched the season finale of "The Amazing Race".
Unfortunately H seems to have come down with my cold now and is at home today because he didn't sleep last night at all. I really hope he is able to kick this thing quickly and that I finally get 100% better.
Hello Monday!
Friday was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner for DH's sister - fun, uneventful (besides the super b*tchy church coordinator lady - she sucked)...
Saturday was busy!!! The wedding was awesome (photos are up on FB) and beautiful. We had so much fun and Sami didn't even get SUPER drunk! LOL - i was waiting to get annoyed at him as I OFTEN do when he's super drunk and i'm not. tho i did have a BIG glass of wine. the bartender filled it up as a typical bartender would - and i looked at him and said - I can only have one... there's still a LOT of glass left there... he very nicely filled it to the tipity top!
Sunday was also busy! We woke up and drove to breakfast - then got our tree! and i decorated it while watching the pats! then i edited the photos from Lindsey's wedding and relaxed on the couch!
It was a good weekend!
Have a great week!

Hi Everyone!
I'm off today, my cousin is making her confirmation and picked me to be her sponsor. I am relaxing a little now, but I have to get in the shower soon and decide what to wear!
This weekend was BUSY! I had a minor meltdown on Saturday morning, because my mind was racing about everything I had to get done for the holidays and I felt very disorganized. I have a busy week at work coming up, I have a bunch of calligraphy projects all due before Christmas, and all of my shopping to do!!! After throwing a tearful tantrum (and scaring DH a little LOL) we divided and conquered. I gave Kevin a list of errands that he could help me with, and I did a few others. It was a HUGE help. Not only did he help me, but he came home with a gift card for a massage. He said he thought I needed a break
Very sweet gesture!!!!!
So anyway, the entire weekend was spent shopping, baking and making (and checking off) to-do lists. I feel a lot better now!
@Barb - that's awesome about the house, and I think you needed to get drunk, so good for you!!
@Julie - I'm glad you felt productive this weekend too!!
NOOOOOO!!!!! Make Monday go away!!
FRIDAY: Our weekend was SUPER BUSY. On Friday after work SD & I went with DH to Greensboro NC b/c he had a meeting there on Saturday morning. Since it was the weekend before SD's birthday she got to pick where we would go out to eat. That goodness she made a good choice!
SATURDAY: On Saturday morning while DH was in the meeting SD & I went to Panera Bread for coffee & hot chocolate and a pastry for breakfast. That's a real treat for us b/c there's not a Panera any where near us. After our treat we did a little Christmas shopping & by noon headed back to pick up DH from his meeting & went home.
At 6:30 that night 2 of SD's friend arrived at our home for a birthday sleepover but not before I ran all over town picking up her birthday cake (zebra print with pink piping , of course), going to Sam's to get birthday party supplies, etc. They had a great time! I went to the dollar store & got some cheap makeup & big tacky earrings along with some feather boas & a sequin scarf. They gave each other makeovers & then had a Pajama Fashion Show. It was very cute & I got some great pictures! They stayed up well after midnight watching movie & giggling.
SUNDAY: On Sunday morning I got up a little early & made blueberry pancakes & sausage then woke the girls up to eat breakfast and get ready for church. After church we went to the ILS house for lunch & then came back to get ready for SD's birthday party. She had a painting party at a local art gallery & invited her classmates. After the party was over & all of her friends left we returned home & had a family birthday party. DH's parents & brother came along with my parents. We had a nice simple supper & then SD opened gifts from the family.
It was a wonderful weekend but I am EXHAUSTED!
Weekends always go toooo fast!!
Friday night DH and I went to a Christmas party/dinner at his bosses house.
Saturday I did a bunch of Christmas shopping (all done expect for DH!), I went for dinner with a co-worker and then we went to see a Christmas Pagent at a local church that another co-workers baby was in (He was the baby Jesus). On my way home I got pulled over b/c my car registration is expired....I totally forgot to do it with the move and all...oops. Luckily he let me off with a warning, but I have to go in there in 5 days to prove I renewed it!
Sunday I was pretty lazy! I crocheted all day (trying to get some scarves made for Christmas) and then we took the IL's out for dinner for their birthdays (MIL's was last month, FIL's was last week) and went over to see/play with their new puppy.

April Nesties March siggy challenge: Next Vacation, Anguilla!!
I had a pretty good weekend. Friday night we relaxed and watched some TV. I wasn't feeling to great early evening, so we didn't eat supper til 10! Haha! So, Jeff helped me make breakfast for [late] supper.
Saturday I had lunch with one friend, then went Christmas shopping with the other. Target was CRAZY! I had to take Jeff's truck, too, because he went with his cousin to a concert in Omaha, so they took my car. But, I was glad I had it for getting around on side streets in 4-wheel drive after all the snow we had last week. I have everyone done except for my dad. I am hoping to get majority of the wrapping done tonight (and send out my Elfster tomorrow!).
Yesterday, I lounged, watched football, Jeff stopped and picked up Pizza Hut on his way home for lunch (yay!). I got 0 cleaning, grocery shopping or wrapping done this weekend. I am going to have to pull it together the next two weeks, cause all of my family gets here next Friday for Christmas! That's just CRAZY!
I had a fantastic weekend! DH and I decided to do one last couple's weekend before the baby and went down to Baltimore on Friday through yesterday afternoon. We walked around the inner harbor, went to the aquarium, dinner at Fell's Point and we ate... a lot. We had an awesome time.
The only problem is that we did a ton of walking which is a lot harder for me than it used to be. By yesterday afternoon I felt like I got hit by a truck and I've been having some hip and back pain so I barely slept last night. Good thing I have a chiropractor appointment in a couple days.
Not up there with best weekends ever I can tell you that much.
I had some terrible m/s, with all day nausea. Plus I have some kind of bug or something that has me hacking up a lung and feeling like crap. I got some stuff done around the house but mostly did nothing but lay around and sleep.
Then the Cowboys lost yesterday which really capped out the weekend.
Next weekend should be much much better!
@Barb, glad to hear that things may be looking up in your housing situation!
Our weekend was pretty low key, DH and I are both fighting a bug, but there was some excitement:
On Saturday, DH took my engagement ring into our jeweler to turn it into a necklace (my wedding band is unique and doesn't really go with my engagement ring, so I've been wearing my e-ring on my right hand), so I'm super excited to see how it turns out (it's my Christmas present)
On Sunday I chopped 7" off my hair! Yay! It feels so much better!!! Here's a pic: http://www.tinyurl.com/chqc328

Wait - I'm actually "nesting" on a Monday!!
Weekend was full but great - Saturday was my bi-yearly GTG with my two besties from HS - we decided to multi-task this visit as it was so close to Christmas, and we spend the day shopping in Lancaster, PA. Great company and good deals :-)
Sunday, I was home for the first day since the previous Monday, so H and I took care of some decorating duties, and I watched some football and tried to get caught up on my Christmas cards (didn't finish, though!)...later, I made chili for dinner, we watched a movie and called it a night. All in all, not bad a'tall!
Have a great week everyone!
That looks sooooo good! I love short hair, but I could never pull it off.
@Barb: That's super exciting about the house! Hopefully it pans out for you!
@Breanne: Hang in there dear! Hopefully your cold goes away soon! Wish I could say the same for the m/s!
@Marick: That looks awesome!
@Allison: Glad YH helped out with checking things off your list!
My weekend was great! It was the first full weekend where I didn't have to send Shaun off to work!! YAY! We got our Christmas tree and decorations up, he made a storage cubby for some tools in the house, I got some sewing done, went to church, watched the Packer game, and ran a few errands! It was oh so lovely!

Despite a ghastly stomach ache all night long coupled with chills and the inability to warm up (my own fault going to bed with wet hair) Saturday night, the weekend was wonderful!
Took Amanda to Greenfield Village for their Holiday Nights display on Friday. Left for PA on Saturday morning for our family Christmas party. Had a great time wtih all my cousins despite the tummy issues, then got home around 3 Sunday in time to watch the Lions win (even though everyone is still bittchin' that they played like crap) and get another 3 dozen cookies made.
Whew! It was a busy enough Monday that I couldn't easily get on here after I posted (I was still at home, about to go to work when I got the thread started)
I got home Friday at 7:30, and spent an hour or so tidying up all the packages and mail I got over the week I was gone. Went to bed after drinking a delicious glass of hard apple cider DH made and got a good night's sleep.
Saturday I went to get a chiropractic adjustment and had lunch with my dad, then stopped to see my grandma and give her a copy of Hope's footprints my brother gave me. Stopped at AC Moore for yarn quickly then got home and tried to relax until we went to a friend of DH's to watch the Flyers game.
Sunday I was a total bum, didn't get out of my pjs, didn't go anywhere and only really made dinner as anything productive that needed to be done. It felt GREAT! What a stressful week and I definitely am still recovering from the emotional stress besides being in the car for 24 hrs in the course of 5 days and out of my bed/ house and all. Glad to be home with DH for sure!
